I’ll take that bet. If we lose 1-2% at my facility I’d be surprised.
Maybe if you are eligible to retire, but not a lot of people have a subsequent skill set to quit our job and get a comparable 150k+ a year job with decent benefits right out the gate.
Also, a lot of these people are the primary breadwinner for their family at larger higher paying facilities.
Now maybe at a 50/60k a year facility, I could see it going up to 10% leaving, but those facilities still don’t have the numbers to make it rain losses that would cripple the NAS.
I think it’s harder for someone a couple years away from retirement to turn and quit over it giving up a pension and health insurance over this…. But everyone has their line in the sand.
I can’t wait to see how it plays out. If I am wrong I’ll eat crow, but I doubt it will happen.
