you could argue that eating such a diet increases your risk of cancer and other poor Heath outcomes, thereby increasing your consumption of resources and your overall drain on society. Alcohol kills people abs alcohol causes people to kill other people. Tobacco often kills its users and can kill via secondary exposure to non-users. Why not just ban all of them, for the greater good of society? Imagine, zero drunk driving deaths. Almost zero lung cancer. How much money would we all save on medical premiums and car insurance? You don’t think it’s fair to impose that on people, even though it’s the governments job to provide for the general welfare?
