Terminal Class pass rate

to anyone who says go to a lower level facility to check out faster, what’s the point if you all say the transfer process sucks regardless and you’ll be stuck their for 5 years either way?

Is the whole “get checked out quick” just for the raises or what
Imo you should pick a place you don't mind being for a couple of years. Picking a lower lvl facility ie a 5 or 6 vs a 7 up down, you'll getting certed faster which means cpc pay and raises based off that. An up down you are going to have to go back to OKC for RTF which means you're at the mercy of waiting for a class date. If you get certed sooner you can throw your name into the facility you want to go to. Having more "experience" certed ie. 3 years cpc at a lvl 6 tower compared to 1 year cpc at a lvl 7 up down, should help with rankings if you do absolutely nothing to reach out and talk to the rep and ATM, ymmv. Regardless your priorities should be getting certified at your facility and worrying about NCEPT shit after you've secured your place in the nas.

Oh wow I didn’t know about the returning to OKC bit, doesn’t seem to be much of an issue lately though seeing how all these offers are 4’s-6’s. Dream spot is FSM.

Thanks for the info

Someone feel free correct me, but I'm pretty sure FSM has never picked up since NCEPT started... all academy grads/prior experience hires

Yeah LIT and FSM wont be on any academy lists for quite a bit.

NEST, Prior experience, and Academy grads. No ERRs

I think your right, the “go to wherever you get checked out at first” argument worked when people were moving through ERRs and there were almost 200 people moved each bi monthly panel. Now they are basically down quarterly and under 100 moved the last two.

Some places who have been eligible to release still have not had anyone picked up in 2 years. Now the advice should I guess be “go wherever you don’t mind potentially spending your entire career”.

I agree with what everyone else has said. In general, training sucks. Anyone and everyone will tell you that. I'm in the middle of training at an up/down that takes about 2 years to CPC, but I chose a place that I would be happy getting stuck in even though training takes years. I considered a level 5 tower that I might've cpc'd at already but I would've been miserable getting stuck there. If it's money you're considering, I'd look at the difference of D2 at a level 7 vs CPC at a level 4/5 (if you get a mixture), some of it isn't much of a difference.

If your goal is to CPC asap, then a lower level facility will get you there. But there's no guarantee that you'll ever leave (not to be a Debbie Downer)

Yeah honestly my ranking of importance is how good is the staffing followed by how quick is the checkout. NCEPT really limits your options
