Yea why wouldn’t the union use their lawyers to fight for fair pay? I don’t understand that shit at all unless they are fighting for them now and will most likely be upgraded soon. It’s like ZJX are the red headed step children of the faa.

They need to do something for those men and women bc that was a dumpster fire situation that escalated. I even called down and was willing to transfer. My rvp and the southern rvp told me the “situation wasnt as bad as it seemed”. Couldn’t believe it.

Upgrades are easy cuz they’re always good. Downgrades are tricky because they can be bad or good. Downgrading all the centers that deserve it would be risky for the agency because they don’t know what abacus is going to produce. A premature downgrade could be a huge hit in wages if it’s accompanied by an upgrade 2 or more years later.
Clearly they’re just doubling down on punting at every turn. But there’s a handful of centers that get hosed in the process

Also just be clear it’s not dozens of facilities to be downgraded. All terminal facilities are currently functioning properly via appendix A and the NVT process. There’s only 22ish centers and it’s likely ZKC ZMP ZID ZOB ZBW that prolly shoulda been downgraded years ago. ZOA and ZNY who knows cuz ETAP doesn’t even show oceanic. But then again ETAP doesn’t really show anything properly which is why we’re in this mess. ZJX ZDV ZHU ZMA prolly gettin way hosed.

Good point. I misread that. Let’s just raise all CPC salaries across the NAS 100k. Leave the gap for levels. That should stop everyone’s bitching…..

I'm not saying that ZMA and ZJX don't need an upgrade but the bodies of work aren't that comparable.

This is a stupid take. Especially on busy center lows. Go to ZDV especially during ski season and tell those low controllers how the level 6 terminal controller clicks the mic more times a year than they do
