This is true but whenever you travel (which for some is most weeks) you get your melas reimbursed, get to charge other expenses back to NATCA or the Agency, etc..... So it's hard to scam tens of thousands extra above your base on A114 unless you are a mastermind scammer but you at least get enough extra as you would be getting in premium pay working back at the facility. The 114s make they’re base salary from the facility of record.
I was going to say, if the only thing NATCA did for FCT towers was expanded COVID cleanings NATCA's argument that they care is really going to be up against it lol, but if they made sure FCT's get holiday pay when previously they were not at least that is a legitimate win.
It just goes to show how out of touch Mick really is.Why did Mick choose rage against the machine people of the sun as the music to start that video?
Maybe he doesn't know what the song is about?

it's crazy how so many don't care, and don't even realize any of this. hell, even biden, rallying for the UAW strike and saying how they deserve more, yet shafting us, his own employees lolWe have had years of inflation killing our buying power, and 2020 - Now finally woke up more people to how bad we've had it when it comes to pay raises. A "pay raise" that doesn't even beat inflation isn't a pay raise, its an inflation adjustment that has continually fallen short year after year. Another angle I think that makes for a good argument to higher pay is simply being able to live in the cummunity you work. We have facilities in extremly expensive cost of living areas, and people having to live with 1hr+ commutes if they don't want to live in a half fallen apart shoe box. If controllers don't make a salary that allows them to live within a 30 min commute to work, what are we even doing here?
The federal wage cap is there, but that could always be changed by our supreme overlords to accomodate us, and it should be.
Also, I think it's been said numerous times, but we are mandated to retire at 56, with waivers rarely being approved. We should be compensated to adjust for forced earlier retirement. We have had years of inflation killing our buying power, and 2020 - Now finally woke up more people to how bad we've had it when it comes to pay raises. I feel like good time is pretty good compensation. Equates to 14 years not worked in another federal job. Nothing to sneeze at. I’ll always take more money but I fucking love the mandatory retirement. Make too many waves and their gonna let our dumb asses work to 70 instead. One reason I’m 100% against old fucks and waivers. Also, I think it's been said numerous times, but we are mandated to retire at 56, with waivers rarely being approved. Yes, I know we can do something that isn't actively controlling within the agency, or we can go contract, but contract isn't always an option unless you are good with moving again.
Valid. Fuck that. I'm not working until 70.IMake too many waves and their gonna let our dumb asses work to 70 instead. One reason I’m 100% against old fucks and waivers.

^ For the second time in your existence, I agree.
Is representation between Terminal and Enroute facilities equal?
You do realize at the convention, NATCA uses an electoral college type system for voting correct? Most votes wins. Simple. Or do you need some electoral college horseshit to make it “real”?
Strong negotiators? Like rolling over the contract? With arguably the most union friendly president we have ever had? We pay the NEB to much.People can’t put the petty rhetoric aside clearly. Not many people know the amount of work the NEB does and honestly you need strong negotiators in office. It’s funny if anyone thinks Jamal would be able to do anything for the union, especially when it comes to negotiating our raises and contract. People who know how to talk to congress. Not people who punch other members in the face because they can’t control their emotions. Not a good look
The constant traveler on NATCAs dime is the reason your local doesn’t have the funds to replace the chairs all the elephants break in the union office. This is true but whenever you travel (which for some is most weeks) you get your melas reimbursed, get to charge other expenses back to NATCA or the Agency, etc..... It’s a couch thank you very much, and I like the fact that it now reclines further and at a different angle! The constant traveler on NATCAs dime is the reason your local doesn’t have the funds to replace the chairs all the elephants break in the union office.
