2024 NATCA President Election

It does but that is bullshit. Union’s shouldn’t be politicized in favor of one party over the other.

I agree in general that it shouldn't matter what the party is when dealing with someone. All that matters is what they plan on doing for workers. However, that usually tends to lead to favoring the Democrat recently. Outside of law enforcement, you won't find many, if any, unions supporting the Republican. AFL-CIO and many other unions have already backed Biden. Once you get outside of the locals, politics are all over the place. It's the nature of the beast in dealing with the government.

For real.... His base is his base. It's the moderates and independents are the ones he has to win over and yesterday doesn't change who he is or what he has done.

Speaking objectively from neutrality, I see your point. However, I think a lot of people are underestimating the effect such a historical occurrence can have. Trump has joined the ranks of only three other presidents who survived an assassination attempt with wounds. If you look holistically at the progression of irrational resistance Trump has faced over the last 8-9 years, unfortunately an assassination attempt is the logical conclusion to that progression. It's horrible but it is what happens when you have media outlets and elected officials calling somebody "the literal reincarnation of Hitler" and claiming "the end to democracy as we know it."

Again, speaking objectively from a politically neutral standpoint, just look at the one photo that was taken moments after the attempt... secret service agents piled on Trump with him emerging from the pile, bloody, with a victorious fist in the air and the American flag suspended perfectly in the air in the background. That is one of the most iconic photos in American history now... stuff like that ABSOLUTELY has an impact in elections.

Hyper political conservatives are weirdly submissive. They are always looking for some alpha to piss on them (see: conservative love of Putin) so of course Trump surviving an assassination makes them think the election is over.
The election isn’t over because Trump survived an assassination attempt. The election is over because Democrats have put all their eggs into the basket of a guy who no longer has the mental acuity to work as a fast food cashier and a woman who was chosen solely because of her vagina and her skin color. (Not my words, but Biden’s…Reference his promise to select a VP who is an African American woman.)

Interesting how an election outlook looks grim when you willingly ignore signs of cognitive decline and select a replacement who was one of the least popular candidates during the 2020 democratic primaries.

It didn’t take a fortune teller to see this coming. From a purely objective standpoint, the democrats have backed themselves into this corner all by themselves with some of the worst election strategy ever seen in American politics. I feel bad for left leaning moderates who want somebody good to vote for.

Astute observation. Fwiw, I agree the election is not over because Trump survived and I do not think the assassination attempt changed much in the way of voters (my personal opinion, I have nothing to substantiate this on). The independents and moderates will decide this election and once again the Rust Belt will make or break it (if you take Georgia out of the equation) for either candidate.

Once again we face an election of two extremely unpopular candidates, who most of Americans would rather see be put into a home, and people will simply vote because one is not the other. Turnout for both sides is paramount and if voters feel extremely unmotivated they will just stay home.

Your standpoint is anything but objective. It's kind of funny that you keep using that word.

Perhaps I should've used a different word... but if we are being honest, can anybody look at the pickle the Democrat party is in this November and truthfully say "they've made wise decisions"?

No. The Democrats have completely dicked their moderate voters over with their strategy, actions, and results. Personally, I would be PISSED if I was put in a position to vote for a dementia patient, when all along for years the establishment lied and said he's sharp, fit, and healthy only to reverse their stance and rush to replace him last second. So again, I feel bad for moderates wanting to vote democrat because they have been abandoned.

Democrats would vote for Biden in a coma before they would begin to think of voting for Trump

The left is really trying to still claim the moral high ground with the “Republican shooter” when he tried to kill Trump. Never change.
Why wouldn't they, a Democrat didn't shoot at him

Except the VP is meaningless from a collective bargaining position.
True, but I like the possibility that the GOP has decided to be worker friendly. Vance's original shtick is supposed to be him as this enlightened conservative that recognizes capitalism has left the working class behind. The problem is that Vance went all in on the typical "blacks and Mexicans are taking your jobs" train so I have some doubts about things will play out. God forbid conservatives admit they created their own dollar general filled red state hell holes. But there is still a small possibility they like labor with the pick, so I'm holding out hope.
