Yeah I don't want to be here on my actual work day let alone for OT. Feed yourself or work short.

The area at my previous Z expected people to buy lunch/dinner for the area when on OT, though I think the younger generation stopped playing along as time went on. At Z1 some of the area would complain if you bought certain stuff too. The fact that it was free wasn't enough for some of them. My current Z's area doesn't care...then again we usually have 2 or 3 OTs/shift. I haven't seen any complaints at Z2, they're just happy for free food when it shows up.

Before I even CPC'd I thought it was BS that Z1 did it. The way I've always figured is "I'm sacrificing my day off, *they* should be paying for my lunch."

Lol! Rumor is one area sent a D-side to TRB on their first sectors after running out of hours. Supposedly they're set to go back through d-school all over again. 🥴

lol my old area, was talking to their trainer about that. The ol’ cut throat days of ZMP is gone or the FAA in general. Just kinder and gentler now. Nothing but TRB’s, extended hours, and article 67 time for people now. Maybe after 550hrs and their 3rd they’ll finally be gone.
