The upcoming stacked leave apocalypse

Hazard pay or stfu.

Burning! Dont be phony bro, you better be wearing your mask while advocating for your career field to burn with it. And ofc you wear in your facility. It's a pandemic afterall burning down all pay and benefits you wouldnt want to self immolate ???

I do wear a mask. You’re one of the idiots on here screaming that a mask is a violation of your rights.

I feel the same way man, retroactive hazard pay starting on March 16th or earlier is the only way I will ever feel “whole” from all this bullshit we went though and are still going though. Most people have it worse then me but we all suffered egregiously.

We need hazard pay, I would not be ashamed to accept it, I would consider it similar to “pain and suffering” money you might get in addition to the money for a new car if a drugged up driver crashed into you and broke your pelvis and both legs in a accident that was 100% their fault.

spider shouldnt get it though. not unless the teacehrs in Detroit and Georgia do. Even tho they arent even working lol.

That comment was directed at a specific individual about budget cuts.

But that’s okay. I don’t want that to get in your way of arguing about the hazard that you claim is a political hoax anyway and that you won’t wear a mask.

where aside from cities, maybe? I don’t believe this. In many districts that I am aware of due to family, friends and my own it’s not happening. I want data and actually evidence.

hopefully it’s all in a Roth. You could do better elsewhere, but at least you are saving.
Correct, all in a Roth because there’s zero chance we have lower taxes when I can retire

so you support Trump? You must if you concede the Dems will higher taxes.

p.s. "wear masks"

Georgia has already issued a 14% across the board cut to all K-12 systems and the University System.

California’s governor said they needed to cut 1.7 billion.

Detroit has talked about eliminating buses to fix their budget.
I don’t know why Georgia is cutting the education budget. My property tax went up $1,100 and education makes up the majority of it!

It’s kinda BS take. Some people want to make money and some people want to have more time off. The more time off people constantly bully the more money people.
My favorite bit of those saying we’re getting “free time off” is that they don’t understand sitting at home, some of us in a small 1br apt, with everything shut down, isn’t an enjoyable “free time off.” If anything, it’s more hectic and mentally taxing. Sure we’re glad to be getting paid, as we don’t have to worry so much about BASIC living, but as you’ve argued this entire time, it’s loss of income in a job we took that had potential for major financial promise.
Before we got sent home, we were tracking to get D1 at the end of this month. Was it guaranteed? Of course not, but neither is getting a second job during the pandemic to supplement the income. These guys telling us to shut up and enjoy the home life & not worry about the losses in potential earnings aren’t going to be super happy when they’re stuck with their annual being denied because they’re understaffed with CPCs. They’re thinking about the now and not looking down the road at all.

Sitting at home is more hectic than atc?

I shouldn’t have said “more”, implying that we’ve got it harder. The broader point is that the time off we have isn’t spent doing anything enjoyable, as there are restrictions on what we can do; whether that’s agency/union standard, or what is available to us as far as recreation goes. Not everyone has kids & family to be excited about spending time with.

What's mentally taxing about being home if you don't have kids or a anyone else there.

The initial point was some people want money and some people want time off.

Everyone seems to be ignoring the folks who just want to limit their exposure to other people as much as possible since there’s the whole highly contagious disease spreading like wildfire at the moment thing.

It was pretty mentally taxing going into work at the epicenter of a pandemic back in March/April. Had pretty much resigned myself to getting it. Fortunately, due to social distancing measures such as limiting the amount of people in the building and the general populace as a whole here generally abiding by mask use, stay at home orders, etc that didn’t happen.

but those of y’all at a Z or bigger terminal facility, what are y’all expecting to train on anyway? There’s no traffic to train on at most places.

At this point - let everyone lay in the graves they’re digging deeper every passing day that goes by. They clearly don’t care as you said (thinking about now). Personally, I’m looking forward to the show.

the point is to not be laying in a grave because of corona.

I get it, believe me, I do. But eventually we have to find a way to keep people coming down the certification path or eventually we will have no controllers certified.Keeping trainees at home for the next 5 years while traffic comes back slowly isn’t sustainable whatsoever on any level.
