So I attempted today to wear a mask. I tried 4 different style of masks and all caused my glasses to fog up. I had to choose either no glasses or no mask. I tried no glasses and that was ok (against my medical though) until I got busy. I was working West feeder into IAD. When I got busy I had to put the glasses on and ditch the mask. What are you guys doing to prevent the glasses from fogging up?

Which is exactly what they did at the airport on Brussels Belgium. A former coworker of mine was there checking in when the bomb went off. He said it was right about the peak time for all The international flight pax and morning push pax to show up for check in. He spent 3 months in a Belgian hospital and was eventually medically retired From his job.And on this I'm in complete agreement with you. As others have pointed out, the 9/11 attacks worked because people weren't expecting the hijackers to crash the planes, they were expecting an unplanned vacation in Cuba or something. Similar attacks will literally never happen because 1) cockpit doors have been strengthened and airline policies regarding opening them have been tightened and 2) passengers will no longer tolerate hijackings. If terrorists really wanted to kill a bunch of people they could set off a bomb in the packed airport security lines—less dramatic than crashing the planes themselves but a hell of a lot easier.
-25 internet points for not using wake me up when September endsWake me up in November when we can get back to normal and stop ruining lives (including trainees) and abusing the children.
When I was in Brussels, there were cops walking around with P90s. Seemed a little odd.Which is exactly what they did at the airport on Brussels Belgium. I was in Brussels roughly a week after that attack and the one, at the same time, at the metro station. It is probably the strangest feeling I’ve ever felt. It is hard to describe the feeling of walking down the street and seeing Pandurs or whatever they’re called, machine guns nests set up around government buildings, riots (against Muslim immigration), et cetera and then never hearing a word of it outside of Belgium.Which is exactly what they did at the airport on Brussels Belgium. Not sure who is more insane - The people who refuse to wear a mask to protect everyone during a pandemic because of their "rights" or the lady at my old job who claimed it was her constitutional right to get waxed.
All ya'lls facilities strictly enforce the masks today?
Just about everyone was wearing one today in common areas. I’d say half wore on position but we are all still socially distanced on position. One guy was walking in the hall without one and a controller mentioned that masks became mandatory today. He said, “for real?” and then went to the desk to get a mask.
You should try to ask one of your management people what happens if someone doesn't wear a mask when they're somewhere not distanced. And is then told to wear a mask and refuses. You'll get a blank look, some mention of professional standards (huge scam and a meaningless group,) and then told "just wear one and set the example."Couple buddies say no masks today at their place and no word from mgmt. Just the ole TEAM briefing item.
This is the best part about ppl here saying they don’t want to train for safety. They weren’t even mitigating anything this whole time.Same people who wore masks before are still wearing them. No mention of a mask requirement from management, which means it’s not required imo. Once they actually disseminate and put it into cedar or brief it then I’ll follow it, an email from natca doesn’t mean shit lol. When I was recalled from EA I was shocked only two people were wearing masks, after all the fear mongering when this started. But only one or two were wearing them when I left at the end of March.
You know what i see you on every thread. Do you think I like having to take a week off every other week? I anxiously sit by my phone on my on call days hoping to serve the nas. This is for distancing and safety. Everyone is staying home and having no fun-regardless of payThis is the best part about ppl here saying they don’t want to train for safety.
