Terminal Class pass rate

I was an RPO in the tower sims, most voice recognition issues that i saw were easily fixable. Very common one was chopping transmissions or lifting off the push to talk a hair early, others already mentioned having to say LIFT instead of LEFT, DELT instead of DELTA, ALPH instead of ALPHA. Just a few I recall off the top of my head.

The RPOs are fantastic at fixing any voice errors. I have no problems at all. Even the people in my class with unclear voices get it to respond with minimal issues

I was one of the first classes to go through under the new hiring process in Sep 2014. We passed all but one and that was pretty standard for terminal to lose no more than 3 or 4 people. What the fuck has happened since then my god.

Same, I was October that year. We lost 4, should have been 3.

I was in the first class that finished with the new scoring, we were 15/18, I think the class after was 17/18.

Something has institutionally changed with how they grade. I'm covinced of it.

When I was there last year there were some ATM's from mid level towers observing us in the sims. From what some of the instructors were saying, some ATM's where complaining about techniques the academy was teaching then boom grading on the PA's seemed way stricter. But even our class still finished 12/17

I just graduated on Friday, yep 7/18 passed. A lot of people who scored incredibly high on their first local (literally 97% and 95%) ended up with disqualifying scores on their 2nd run. I think in those cases it was kind of an over-confidence type situation.

There were 4 who washed out less than 1 point short

Where is everyone going?

Damn. I get you have to have a cutoff point but 4 people less than a point from passing is crazy.

I was that 17/18 class. Your right it had to be some sort of change because that is a crazy swing. Granted my class was all CTI or vet except for one guy and he was the only one who failed. So maybe that has some correlation and now they are getting a lot more actual legit OTS hires coming through.

We discussed it earlier in this thread, the moment the BA/BQ dropped in 2014, CTI degrees became irrelevant (although they now have some weight due to the two pool system created in 2016). During this time, a number of schools closed and attendence of the others dropped significantly. Additionally vets and others with experience are now bypassing the academy. When you essentially remove the powerhouse CTI schools and everyone with prior experience, you remove that built in support system, which can prop up lesser candidates.

TL;DR: Looks like a salty terminal washout looking for excuses has taken it upon themselves to launch a crusade against the Academy by misquoting both breakaway2000, myself, and others to paint an evil picture of OKC.

Pointless conspiracy ranting/clickbait articles with cherry picked "evidence" can be found at OPs fixfaa.org.

There's a quote you can put on the FixFAA header, and this time it even has my endorsement!

Good grief...

This is hilarious. Even quoted Rep Chaffetz who resigned as the oversight committee chairman a couple months ago. Asking him to investigate the academy after President Trump said look at our government and do your job of oversight. Gah the guy who made that site needs to evaluate his life

Lol, I needed a good laugh this morning. I'd create an account to respond to the guy but it looks like everyone else was giving him the business.
