I haven’t made one yet. Don’t worry, I’ve got some ideas. If you want me to talk about something, or have something verifiable about other people running that should be shared feel free to send me a DM. I’m an open book.

I also emailed [email protected] today for the email list! Maybe I’ll spend some coin for constant contact and get something going if I feel like really waging the video war a little later instead of the 200 word emails the National Election Committee will send out for free-

Since ballots don’t go out till June 3rd, I think I will be ok. Shoot, people don’t even have to accept their nominations till April 30th!

Might be a little bit till I come out swinging, no offense to the other campaign.

I’ve got a domain, and am building a simple website. It will be jdatc2024.org. Be a little bit till I get it done, so far it’s just the landing page-

Never. Not in a million years would I take money from the membership to run for an office that is solely created to serve the people.

I’m fortunate I work at a high level facility and make decent money which is not what can be said for a majority of our workforce. It is bad enough that the NEB wastes our dues money on frivolous shit that could be better spent.

People that make less than me or my household should not be funding my campaign. Everyone that I know currently in the race should be ashamed that they actually have links for donations.

That said, I am done for tonight. I have a young kid to get ready to school tomorrow and then an actual shift to work. Thank you all who’s support I hope to earn. I’ll get the website up soon.

Edit: I am still working on my page, but I did add a donate link, but it’s not what you think. It’s what should be done.

We want to throw you a couple bucks to help your campaign. It’s not some pac scam. Also I think they have to post your flyer on every Natca board if you provide it so we can make sure that happens

I don't have much faith in NATCA as a whole anymore, but I really don't think Nick & Jamaal are it. We'll see what they have to say, but I've been placed under the impression that they think the slate book is the best we could do for a contract. All these people have been in NATCA for how long?? I have a little more faith in Santa & Mick, but we need a shark. Not two dudes that use our union as a social club & the other one who waits until election season to address our staffing issues to it's members. Staffing is a long-term issue. We need better incentives NOW, pay being #1. I shouldn't be seeing my coworkers looking for other employment as regularly as they do.

As a collective, I think we should all be calling out of OT. I'm tired as hell but one or two people per facility isn't enough to make a statement.
 
Just like the US Presidential election I think unfavorably ratings will play a big part here. I see and hear in person and you also see on the chat forums lots of people who hate Santa for being a company man shill for over a decade and Mick for being a dick, but you don’t see nearly as many people openly hating Nick and Jamal. Maybe people just don’t know them good enough but that might play in major favor for them. I think Nick/Jamal get a huge amount of votes from people who believe “anyone but Santa” but also don’t want to vote for the third party Boston guy.

Yea I rather take Jamaal vs someone who personally(Mick) has created NLRB issues and has ARVP’s doing dirty work. Along with Santa and Himself not following National Election precedent. Drain the swamp.
 
After I heard about the Air Force and certain federal prison employees receiving these insane "retention bonuses" I did some digging and found out the OPM has official guidance on retention bonuses. I wasn't sure if this was common knowledge, it's news to me. It looks like we could potentially as a group of employees receive 10%, but in certain circumstances could get approval for up to 50%. I would certainly argue that we are in an unusual situation. Everyone knows someone or even multiple people that have resigned in the last few years in search of better opportunities.

I know Santa and the other candidates read these boards. If you want my vote, start talking about pay. I don't care about the federal cap - do everything you can do to find us more money. Retention bonuses, increase OT pay, increase differentials. You did it with OJTI pay, now do it with nights and weekends. Show us you actually care and are fighting for better conditions rather than just talking about it.
