I just hope this isn't a recommendation saying we should privatize. If it is, I'd say, have you ever worked at a FCT?
Yes. It’s not great. But pay and working conditions are only what they are because it’s staffed by temps getting out of the military who don’t know better or retirees on a second gig
 
I was told directly by Mick that he and Rich were going to addressthe RAZE WEN movement before the election....and I still think thats true.

However.... after this beauracratic mumbo jumbo video today my faith is shaken. WHY do the facilities who get CIP get it? I will not accept being B-scale and a CIP have-not. NO. Mick and Rich better address this soon or they have NO CHANCE. No one is willing to engage on CIP including RazeWen , and now its apparent not even the candidates are willing to either! Disheartening.

You must know that there’s no appetite for a CIP shake up because it would create winners and losers, right? Why would they want rob Peter to pay Paul? Not to mention there’s a thousand different ways to divvy up the CIP money and none of them would be perfectly fair.

Arguing to expand the program makes sense, and at least giving us a history lesson on why it’s done the way it’s done would be helpful, I agree.

There are ALREADY winners and losers. Adding money to the current CIP structure (there is none) would just make the losers bigger losers. That's in no way analogous to robbing Peter.

If you werent a subject matter expert on NATCA or FAA ATC and I told you there was a federal agency that got an extra 30 million dollars to divvy up to its employees annually but that there was actually literally no rhyme or reason to who got it and why, and it would never change... you would probably say something like "that sounds illegal".

WOW! This is damning. Shame on anyone who selfishly defends the CIP scam, including all those who would remain silent while they rake it in. In solidarity of course!

The funny thing is; as crazy as those numbers are, "hard to staff" is not even the stated or official criteria of who gets CIP... there ISNT ONE. CIP is a political slush fund that is used to pay off the politically connected facilities, period. The fact that when questioned there are actually people who say shhhhh.... dont make people who get it mad! Show's how crazy it is.

I am a NEVER MICK voter now unless he comes correct and issues a proper video unpacking the CIP racket.

I’m saying controllers who are already getting it would effectively get a pay cut. Not exactly a winning message. Once you start giving people something it’s hard to stop.

It doesn’t. I’m not saying the way CIP works makes sense and shouldn’t change. I have no idea how it was decided who gets what. My only argument was that it shouldn’t be surprising that the people running for office aren’t openly saying they want to take money from controllers at some facilities and give it to others.
 
The only way to "fix" CIP is for everyone to get it. Negotiate it in our next contract. (If we ever get one) The NEB is never going to expand CIP under the current form bc that takes money away from others. If you maintain currency and you are a 2152, you should get it.

Non-action is unacceptable at this point.

They should just create a premium 5-10% that you get when you are plugged in

My memory is a little hazy on the details, but an old friend told me SWA paid dispatchers a premium every month just for having their aircraft dispatch certification. Something that’s needed to even get the job and never expires. Should definitely negotiate some type of premium pay for being rated imo.

More premiums and bonuses make it so that they don’t have to actually negotiate the scales or the cap. They proved they can do it with OJTI. People would bang out less or be willing to split sectors and work longer for money. Some would at least

I know at AAL dispatchers get $370 a month for having a lic.
