Kind of wild to think that in today's kindler, more gentle FAA that the agency would allow a class of 15 to pass only 1. The "thou shalt not wash on d-sides", let alone the d-side labs, mentality being pushed in the field is infuriating. Has it not made its way back to the academy?

That class must have been REALLY bad.

Lol! Rumor is one area sent a D-side to TRB on their first sectors after running out of hours. Supposedly they're set to go back through d-school all over again. 🥴

Trash. Get out of here. I found if someone can’t grasp it within the hours allotted, they generally will never be a good controller. I understand each facility only gets the bodies it does, but don’t compromise safety just to get more bodies. Restrict flow instead. I dont watch other people’s traffic cuz I don’t like seeing deals happen.

All the kiddies got an instructor who hadn't lead a class in 3 years. Whole class was in the gutter after non radar and thus the bad pass rate.

You must not have scheduled overtime on a weekly basis. At my last facility, you’d get 1-2 OT shifts per year and people brought in food cuz it was rare. When there are 130 people working 6 day weeks, no one cares about bringing in food.
