$15 per hour. 40 hour weeks. $38.60 (has this changed?) per diem. ~$3,550 per month before taxes.Could someone ballpark around what we will be getting paid each month in the academy?

Damn that's not too bad! I have some friends that are teaching that make less than that in Florida Public Schools$15 per hour. 40 hour weeks. $38.60 (has this changed?) per diem. ~$3,550 per month before taxes.
It's good to keep in mind that we can't pocket the per diem if we don't use it though.$15 per hour. 40 hour weeks. $38.60 (has this changed?) per diem. ~$3,550 per month before taxes.
You pocket all of the 38.60, just not any of the left over from housing. I don’t believe it’s taxed eitherIt's good to keep in mind that we can't pocket the per diem if we don't use it though.

That's what I said. you don't get to pocket anything you don't use.You pocket all of the 38.60, just not any of the left over from housing. I don’t believe it’s taxed either
You get to pocket the food Money. Assuming you can keep it under 3 qdoba burritos a dayThat's what I said. you don't get to pocket anything you don't use.
I don’t think getting fired would disqualify you. Where did you read that?Does anyone know if being ”fired” or “leaving any job by mutual agreement for a specific problem“ in the last 5 years automatically disqualifies you on the EODS?
I know they are looking for misconduct. But what if you were terminated on medical grounds due to an injury? And it had nothing to do with any misconduct.
I’m guessing it either disqualifies you automatically or you’ll have to undergo an interview.
I saw it here somewhere but have read so many pages at this point I could be mistaken.I don’t think getting fired would disqualify you. Where did you read that?
I’ve never heard that and I would imagine that would disqualify a high percentage of applicants.I saw it here somewhere but have read so many pages at this point I could be mistaken.
Bruv ima need to do thisGot my date! 09/13 En Route. As suspected, I should’ve had my call weeks ago (02/24 clearance) and been offered an original seat instead of filling a rejected spot. Good thing I emailed a second HR rep.
SO SO NEW TO THIS SO SOME GRACE PLEASE.Internal source
I recommend you read up on the FAQs on here it has all the information you're asking about. it's a long strenuous process, you have to want it its no walk in the parkSO SO NEW TO THIS SO SOME GRACE PLEASE.
Considering applying in the open bid next week. It will be an OTS pool 2 application as I am 22 and currently in school for astronomy not aviation. Everything sounds like a long waiting game from what I’ve read. Will someone please break down the process for me… locations of academies? Benefits or drawbacks of the industry? Run it or Run? Application recommendations? This would be a lifestyle change for me I feel and I just want to grasp the idea of the daily tasks and goals.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration 🙂
