This might be on an old thread but I’m hoping someone has some insight. I believe I have a valid hardship but Ive heard from some coworkers that I need a drs note explicitly stating that my family is the primary caretaker of my father in law. Is this correct? Currently we have a letter stating my father in law’s diagnosis and that the doctor is requesting we be accommodated by our employers. Has anyone gone through this process? And if so, will our personal statement suffice in saying we are the primary caretaker?
