May Priority Placement Tool Question

My facility can release 3 controllers this upcoming NCEPT (assuming 85% rule), however the PPT says We can only release 2. Is that PPT entirely 100% accurate? Is that number a placeholder until the rules get posted? I’ve been at a previous facility where the PPT said we could only gain 1 controller and yet we gained 2 so I’ve seen some mishaps before. Anyone know for sure?

The PPT does not actually display NCEPT gains. It displays gains to projected national average and gains to target. So there’s no mishap there.
The possible losses column can be incorrect if your target number is a multiple of 20. Because the formula is still in there from the 2nd-3rd iteration of NRP that was above national average then above 85. They’ve been using at or above 85 for years now. If your target isn’t 20 40 60 etc then you can’t be 85.0 AOB and the possible losses is correct

Ask your facrep to verify the information. The panel I got released, they fucked up our number too. Put it as 2 instead of 3. Facrep called the staffing manager and they fixed it.

I actually looked at it wrong. So our current number is 18 of 20 which is 90%. Therefore we should be able to release 2 people with the 85% rule. After the 2 releases we drop below 85%. The PPT says we can only release 1, isn’t that incorrect? Should I get in contact with someone to correct this?

18/20=90
17/20=85
16/20=80

My guess is they round in whatever prevents you from leaving

There’s no rules for the May panel yet so there’s not really any point to speculation. But under the previous rules you would have 2 losses and they’re aware that it displays wrong on the ppt. They leave the formula as is because there’s not actually a signed NRP MOU with ‘at or above’ language.

I don’t think he’s claiming their facility data is incorrect. He’s confused by the confusing “possible losses” column because it doesn’t show the correct number for the facilities whose target is 20

Per Reddit
“Went to a NATCA dinner for trainees in OKC tonight. Jamaal Haltom and John Bratcher were there to answer questions for mostly new people looking to join NATCA. They boasted that current Terminal students have a list of 100 facilities to choose from and En Route students can choose from any facility that is below 105% staffing. They said they want to prioritize filling positions with new people who want to go there and that when staffing levels are raised, then the current controllers will then be able to bid out. A person said they transferred from Indy Center to a tower, and Jamaal said, "Good thing you already got out" and laughed. He also said at one point, "I don't want to call it a transfer freeze..."

I'm guessing that it has to do with them about to implement the new CRWG numbers into NCEPT for all facilities which will basically freeze transferring if they keep the same 85% number to release.

Since they haven't released the rules to the may panel, that is in two weeks, I'm guessing this panel will be the first with CRWG implemented

Is there going to be an updated priority/vacancy list out soon? The one on KSN is showing March
