Speak for yourself bro, I like to partyNot a good reference. Have you ever been to Australia? Those people are drunk all the time. An image we are trying to get away from.

*In a thick southern drawl* You wish you had whaaa?I wish we had utes
5 on 5 off I had straight 1400s. Loved it, my crew was great though. All solid controllers and good people, best year or so of work of my life. I imagine it’s what it’s like for an NBA championship team where people know their roles, believe in sacrificing for the team, know how to share the ball etc.God forbid we just go to normal set schedules that rotate every month or something to make it “fair”. Why can’t we have straight set schedules and if you work the busier traffic of the facility you get 15% extra pay or something? I’d rather work all nights and not have to rotate than our current schedules that make us fucking zombies for no reason.
Well they have the time free from work to do so unlike us:Not a good reference. Have you ever been to Australia? Those people are drunk all the time. An image we are trying to get away from.

So talk to your rep and get enough people in your facility on board. My facility alternates day/swing every week (except for 1 area that chose the rattler). FAA doesn’t set the shift rotation, that’s a local decision.
Yea, your anecdotal evidence overrides actual scientific studies by nasa 🙄🙄🙄I can already imagine how many people would quit and look for new jobs if this happened. I think a lot of you underestimate how many people hate swings shifts and would not be happy with a month of them. Ive never heard a single complaint about the rattler in person, just on here and reddit.

Literally studies show it’s bad for your health to work the rattler. I personally would like to live past retirement age. What’s the first thing people do on their “long” weekends everyone praises? Probably sleep or down an energy drink because their sleep schedule is trashed from the previous week worked.I can already imagine how many people would quit and look for new jobs if this happened. National Aeronautics and Swings Administration.NASA did a study on how many people like swings?
The problem is the old heads will never let it happen because they’ve been doing it for 15yrs and are brainwashed that it gives them a longer weekend. It also takes years off your life but glad you got that extra 4hrs to make up for all the sleep you lost during the week lol.So talk to your rep and get enough people in your facility on board. Have you heard any praise about almost any thing in ATC? Controllers love complaining.
