Since it’s extension ends this summer it would be a good show to see if they are going to just hose them and negotiate slate and purple together or use purple to be like “look what we will do for you”. Oh I completely agree with you. Purple book is from 2013 I believe, so it would just be a slap in the face to extend it again. And just because its a loosing rationale doesn’t seem to matter much to national….

Well according to Santas fantastic videos for slate book, he would open negotiations as soon as possible for slate book. Which is 1 year prior to expiration, so in theory they should have negotiations well underway. And it would be a huge win to show the workforce what he can negotiate, for purple book employees now and then slate book as soon as it can be opened up.

Well I’m fine waiting if it happens for them. Somewhat of a light at the end of the long tunnel from 2016.
Hypothetically they get their raise when the contract was up and being negotiated.
There would be an expectation they go negotiate the same thing in 2025 for 2026.
Support specialist making more than controllers. If it happens it would get the ball rolling and people may calm down a bit.
