Quick facts for the upcoming panel...

233 eligible releases from 121 facilities (71 facilities can only release 1)
98 eligible facilities can select up to 521 people (Removed N90/C90/Guam)

At the moment it appears you can meet the criteria for Cat 1 and still be ineligible.
Ex. FLL is 92.5% for current CPC and 90.5% for projected CPC and they cannot release anyone.

Other facilities effected by this include...
ZBW
JAN
TVC
ZJX
LAN
ZKC
CMI
RIC
JNU
POC
ZLC

Alright, got confirmation. For these facilities and potentially others effected. They are putting procedures in place for this upcoming panel and every panel after to cap Cat 2's projected % at 90%. These facilities will be able to release someone this panel.

In addition to these facilities, other facilities may be able to release additional people.
Ex. Let's say you're 90% current and 95% projected. One release drops your projected national average down to 92%, a second release will be eligible.
I'd expect an amendment to the National Release Policy to drop before the panel. I'll update the official wording when that happens.

Where are you getting your information from? KSN? Also, keep in mind that I believe they will still only allow your current and/or projected to drop one below the projected national averages. So even though your projected may allow your facility to release more than 1, your current AOB has to allow that too.

It was discussed and agreed upon at the last weekly NCEPT meeting, minutes not posted. I would expect a formal amendment prior to the panel, similar to what happened last panel.
Projection will now be capped at 90% so in terms of the projected portion of the national average, you will be able to go multiple below the true projected national average of 93.6%.
For other people who might not be following the other aspect of what he's talking about, the current CPC national average is 82.8. Although a selection doesn't immediately come off your CPC count, the NCEPT puts 'protections' in place to prevent additional selections.
Ex. Facility XYZ has a target CPC number of 25 (each CPC is 'worth' 4%), their current CPC % is 92.0 and their projected CPC% is 100%.
Factoring in a CPC national average of 82.8% and the new capped projected national average of 90%.
Selection 1 - 92%, 100%
CPC % theoretically drops to 88%, projected to 96% - Allowed.
Selection 2 - 88%, 96%
CPC % theoretically drops to 84%, projected to 92% - Allowed.
Selection 3 - 84%, 92%
CPC % theoretically drops to 80%, projected to 88% - Previously unable, now Allowed.
Selection 4 - 80%, 88%
CPC % below the national average, projected below the capped national average of 90% - Not Allowed.

For simplicity sake, the only thing that matters for you is the PPT. If you're not eligible now, you won't be this panel.

Yeah I get that, but the PPT is not accurate to our staffing. We are short 1 CPC for AOB, but trying to understand what else they can update. In other words I don't want to be excited that they need to update or numbers and we can release one, only to find out that they other updates again take us out again. Talk about blue balls...

Of course if your above 90% is true then....yippee!!

When did the new CPC certify?

For what it's worth, my facility and I know quite a few others, had staffing discrepancies in today's ncept numbers that are getting reworked... So there will likely be other facilities able to release folks

What numbers were incorrect for you? Trainee's certify after 8/16/17?

Had 3 certifications between Aug 1 and Aug 15 not make it...
Emails were sent out on 8/9 and 8/17 with the staffing workbook data to your FacRep imploring them to look at the numbers and correct them if they were wrong to avoid the situation you're currently in.
My advice is the same to everyone. I don't care if you're not the FacRep, I don't care if you're not the VP, I don't care if you're not the Secretary, and I don't care if you're not the Treasurer. If you have ERR's out and someone certifies, go into your ATM's office and make sure they update the staffing workbook accordingly. Your career is counting on it.
