It was discussed and agreed upon at the last weekly NCEPT meeting, minutes not posted. I would expect a formal amendment prior to the panel, similar to what happened last panel.
Projection will now be capped at 90% so in terms of the projected portion of the national average, you will be able to go multiple below the true projected national average of 93.6%.
For other people who might not be following the other aspect of what he's talking about, the current CPC national average is 82.8. Although a selection doesn't immediately come off your CPC count, the NCEPT puts 'protections' in place to prevent additional selections.
Ex. Facility XYZ has a target CPC number of 25 (each CPC is 'worth' 4%), their current CPC % is 92.0 and their projected CPC% is 100%.
Factoring in a CPC national average of 82.8% and the new capped projected national average of 90%.
Selection 1 - 92%, 100%
CPC % theoretically drops to 88%, projected to 96% - Allowed.
Selection 2 - 88%, 96%
CPC % theoretically drops to 84%, projected to 92% - Allowed.
Selection 3 - 84%, 92%
CPC % theoretically drops to 80%, projected to 88% - Previously unable, now Allowed.
Selection 4 - 80%, 88%
CPC % below the national average, projected below the capped national average of 90% - Not Allowed.
