Enroute Class pass rate

Are any of the other desirable Z's able to consistently release? Could've gone that route and rolled the dice at ZHU, ZFW, ZDV, etc
Go hang out at a 12 for a few years and transfer down to zlc? Sounds like a good plan financially. But then again it sounds like they were the bottom of the class, maybe weren’t that smart to begin with.

The undecided person ended up resigning because they couldn't pick the facility they wanted (wanted ZLC but it was already picked twice). I think that's the first time it has happened for enroute, but it's a little wild to see it trickling up from the terminal side. 😱🤯🤣

It's hard to recruit people with a high-potential to do this job competently whilst telling them they'll have to move somewhere they don't want to live and potentially make less than they can in career fields they are leaving or went to school for.
You got it wrong buddy. She didn't want ZLC.

What’s going to happen when the centers that haven’t been picked in months start to need trainees… I see (or don’t see) a few certain centers never being selected.

they've taken a few facilities off the list i just havnt put them in bc im lazy

Which centers haven't been selected recently? Seems to be a pretty decent spread since the change.
For one, I haven’t seen my center selected in two months. I haven’t seen

ZBQ edit: ZAB
ZME
ZOA
ZNY

and maybe a handful of ZLAs. But I see the same 5 getting selected every class, sometimes twice.

ZNY and ZAB have had multiple in the last 2 months. You need to go back and look at what Hope has posted.

Edit:

Go back a few months and literally all of those facilities (ZAB, ZME, ZOA, ZNY) have been voluntarily selected MULTIPLE times. Maybe they're currently on a facility training hold. I'll check KSN tomorrow.

Yeah I guess if I go back half a year I’ll find 2 or 3 selections for some of those centers. You’re right.

ZAB currently has 61 trainees and is projecting to 92% staffing. ZME currently has 60 trainees and is projecting to 91%. ZNY/ZOA were both priority volunteer placement facilities until this past July when the list selection process changed, but I’m pretty sure you can still volunteer for them both at any time.

Go to the previous page of this thread... 4 chose ZNY and 3 chose ZLA, that's just September and part of October this year.

ZOA was also selected several times since they allowed anyone to selected those facilities.

At my Z, someone who wants to be in the area is worth 2-3 AGs that got sent here against their will. They generally tend to put in a higher effort and OJTIs will bend over backwards for them knowing they won't try to GTFO as soon as they checkout. So maybe fewer AGs going to ZNY but far more likely to stick around in the long run, and it's not always the bottom of the class.

This is a great case for why the FAA needs to revamp how they assign facilities from the word "go."
