GA vs Air Carriers

All, I had a comment on my -25 about not giving priority to air carriers and corp jets over GA while working approach.

I can't find anywhere in the .65 that states one has priority over another. The two GA's had a filed IFR and the air carrier/2 exec jets were IFR.

If they're all IFR, shouldn't service be provided on a first come basis?

Hopefully someone could share some insight.

I'm the opposite. Wake turb eats up mileage for spacing. "Best forward speed to a 5 mile final, or a 757 is gonna eat you for lunch." LOL. Now departure is different, but that's tower's move.

First come first serve no matter whether IFR or VFR. Operational Priority. Aircraft types and performance are the next factor in building a sequence that is safe and efficient.

In regard to the initial post maybe it's just how that person was trained.

Sounds like you need to fire your trainer.
