It is not 100 percent they stay on their days. The process of moving to a cpc line is negotiated. Many facilities negotiate that staying on the trainee line as the process, but many also negotiate other ways. Especially at small facilities that are under staffed, they build an ideal fully staffed schedule and then allow cpc to bid. Trainees then fill the remaining available lines as they certify. The entire facility wouldn’t have to re bid because the cpc already had the opportunity it’s to bid. And the trainee would still be afforded their leave that they bid. So a staffing imbalance is not the only way you’d potentially move rdos.
