Curious how they bust them. Are they climb via rnav SIDs? Cause I would think the pilot should have that pre programed before takeoff. I don't work with any type of rnav sid so I'm just curious

Pilots bust rnav arrivals fairly often and blow through final. Can’t imagine a rnav did would be any different if they are hand flying or just didn’t program it correctly. Plus depending on if they can get CF or DF built they are quite a bit different. Some departure tracks vary wildly from the same RNAV Sid.
