Well, what did they expect when they shotgunned new hires across the system? That people would uproot, move across country to a place they had limited say or info on and then want to stay forever? That’s insane. I know of people from Long Island, prior exp, who attempted to get sent to n90 Around 2015. The faa wouldn’t let someone who is local to one of the hardest to staff places go there. Instead, in their infinite wisdom, they made them go to Texas first, certify, quit and then get rehired on the Direct n90 bid. Just a waste of time and resources.The agency should realize that all the smart people who get sent to shitholes are going to find out how the system works and hardship out. That, or quit and get rehired etc. That sort of behavior is financially devastating to the taxpayers and it shouldn't be too hard to show the people in charge of NCEPT that this is the case.
