Enroute Class pass rate

Our class evals tomorrow. Our list is 2 Indianapolis, 2 Minneapolis, 2 Oakland, Albuquerque, and Washington. Any recommendations? Don't really know anything about any of these places.

If your ultimate goal is to eventually leave any of those places then I’d stick with IND, MSP or ABQ.

Of course, never forget that you have to check out first — that’s really your only goal right now but long term...you’ll probably be better off not going to the other places.

If COL is your only real consideration, I'd say go to Indy first then Minneapolis next. Indianapolis is really affordable in the housing department and the center has a good reputation.

Good luck on your evals, keep calm and make point outs!
Don’t listen to this guy. He doesn’t know a thing about Indy. Hell, he doesn’t even know a thing about Denver! ?
Honestly though, Indy center’s average CPC timeframe is 26 months. They seem really dedicated to our training and like this guy says, Indy is very affordable. Minneapolis has a far lower success rate and still has non-radar sectors from what I hear, plus the center is in Farmington, 40 minutes from the city.
Don’t focus on where you’re going yet. You’ve gotta pass first and place high enough to have a choice.

As far as where the center is located for ZMP. It is a little distance from downtown, but you can find a place that is only a 20 min drive and still feel like your not that far from the cities and plus most of the burbs area, there's a decent amount to do.. plus a quick $12 Uber ride to the cities/uptown

so, you are encouraging people not to come to your center and give you more seniority. Interesting ?

We passed 5 out of 7, one was pushed into the next class for medical reasons. I'm still waiting for someone to choose, but looks like I'm going to Albuquerque unless somebody changes their mind. Washington and 1 Minneapolis dropped off the list. Anybody from ZAB here? ?

List for the class that evals today and tomorrow. Oakland, Oakland, Memphis, Memphis, Albuquerque, Cleveland, Fort Worth, Minneapolis. Two San Juan and two Anchorage alternatives.

My class gets our list on Friday.

Didn’t know ZME had opened back up. Been awhile.

My only wanna-go on the list ZFW got dropped off, now debating on ZAB vs ZOA...
Any advise before I have to pick tomorrow morning?
(lived in abq, not a fan at all. and we all know how $$$ Oakland is)

Oakland takes a long time to CPC at, although I'm not sure about ZAB. I work with ZAB all day and they're awesome. At least the 4 sectors I deal with anyhow. If the rest of the center is like that then you'd be good to go.

Also take into consideration which would be easier to get out of.

ZAB is quicker to CPC but staffing is terrible, so I don't know how easy it would be to get out

Where'd you get the info that their staffing is terrible? I think they're projected to be at around 90 percent. 123ATC could be wrong but they say it's current info. I haven't actually looked at the numbers though from a FAA source.

Also 80 percent success rate at ZAB vs 52 percent at ZOB. All you need to know right there. Granted that also counts anyone who didn't finish training such as hardships but still.

Worked ZAB before, but don't wanna go in too much details haha. But that could be everywhere.
I appreciate the info from y'all.
