That was my philosophy. Unfortunately there are some people in the FAA that will only be happy at a 12 tower that is desired by everyone else.

Like those of us that have been away from home for nearly a decade and want to get back to that 12 tower. Shame on us.

Yep. Put in for the TRACON, Center, and smaller facilities.

But as the small towers are so low on priority they are moot. TRACON is well staffed and lower in priority. The only one that pops up towards the top is that 12 tower. But I guess I should just be bidding Atlanta.

You must be talking about me! I did have to concede the 12 though.

Nah. Just overall there are people who seem to think that they are the 1 rightful owner of 1 slot into Denver when there are 100 people who want it. I personally applied to 12 places as far from home as I could and 1 pretty close. Only 12 I put in for was DEN.

On the KSN site there's a document that has every facility's yearly breakdown from 2010 on training success rates. Four columns per year; number of people that start training, current number training, training time, and success percentage.
MWH had a couple years in 2013-14 I think where they got 4 people each year and only 1 got CPC.
I'll try to remember to save it tomorrow and get it posted up here.

Combination taxiways and runways is really neat! Less than 67K tower ops makes their washout number feel like a bad joke. That's less than 183 a day...
