article 99 dictates recommended timelines

Section 4. - The Parties at the local level shall meet within fourteen (14) calendar days of submission of the hardship to accomplish the facility level review. ... they will make recommendations and forward an entire package to the Parties at the Service Area/AFSIAG level of the facility where the hardship request originated. This should normally be accomplished within seven (7) calendar days of making the determination.

Section 5. - Service Area/AFSIAG level shall review the employee's package and the recommendations made at the facility and make their own determination as to whether the hardship condition is bona fide. This review should normally occur within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving the package. If they determine the hardship condition is bonafide, they shall, within seven (7) calendar days will forward the entire package to the Parties at the Service Area/AFSIAG level of the target facilities.

Section 6. - Parties at the Service Area/AFSIAG level of the target facilities shall review the employee's package and the determinations made at the facility and the originating Service Area. This review should normally occur within fourteen (14) calendar days after receiving the package. The requesting employee will then be informed by his/her Principal Facility Representative and the Air Traffic Manager jointly, as soon as possible after receiving the final determination.
Check this out. I haven't been given an offer at the receiving region but you can see "Offered to Hardship" to the facility I'm requesting on ksn/ncept. Do you think this means I've basically got the place I'm requesting and they simply haven't told me yet? We were discussing how we wouldn't put it past the faa to put it in without telling the employee first.

When I filed mine a few years back, I noticed it on KSN about 2 weeks or so before being notified it was approved. Naturally be patient but to answer your question most likely.

I'm an extremely patient person but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stretched thin after months of this process haha. But yes I agree with you 100 percent here.

Is it possible to get the most recent KSN without being at the facility?

Hardship was offered to someone else going to the same facility before me. Now they're above staffing. Great lakes region took 5 weeks to approve my 3rd hardship attempt in 5 months and now I get the shaft once again. Faith in the union and the agency has been completely eroded. Why is it that a hardship cannot be approved to a facility that's over 100 percent. What a garbage principle.

I’ve only heard that high staffing levels dictate whether or not a hardship can be offered that/those facilities, but I’ve yet to see it in writing.

Take SFB for example: They received an inbound hardship when they were (and still are) over 100% staffed.

Same with MCO, of which has been offered to a hardship request (per KSN Terminal list) and MCO is beyond staffed.

It seems to be a very gray area when it comes to eligible facilities.

It seems like everything is gray at this point. It's not MCO I'm trying to get to for the record. I don't understand any of this. Extremely frustrating for people just trying to do the right thing.

I know you only used it as an example but I know for a while SFBs numbers showed 100% but that wasn't the case they has one or two that were no longer going to be on the boards.

My facility shows we have 12 CPCs but we actually only have 9 able to work a position. My guess is for hardships they may look at more than just the numbers.

Very few facilities are so isolated that they're the only viable option for a hardship. You're not being offered anything?

If there are other options offered and they are saying no because they only want xxx, then is it really a hardship?

The nearest facility is 2 and a half hours driving away. They didn't even offer any of those. I put only that one on there because I had serious doubts it would even be an issue. I now have to put in writing requested alternates.

Ouch. Yeah hardships are being scrutinized at the moment due to pressure from natca and management. I don't know your situation but I do know people who have had success waiting for a vacancy to open

Yeah I lost faith in the union as well. My wife took my kids out of state in my divorce and they won’t do shit for my hardship. And my ATM has a hard on for keeping my separated from my children. I don’t even know why I pay into NATCA if they don’t wanna help. So much for “solidarity” and “brotherhood”. It’s all a scam

If you want to private message me I'll clarify the hell I've been through on the phone. I'm not putting together some bogus scam. If that's what you were implying.
