48 and a month 😇
Many are past the halfway point and can see their own end in sight. That’s the only thing keeping anyone over 12.5 years here for the pension.
The number of people straight up quitting trainees and CPC’s is not surprising, this new generation values QOL and work life balance over money.
The 50k supposedly that apply for the ones that get a FOL I bet the numbers that quit continue to rise regardless of if pay bands get increased.
Obviously that route isn’t the answer so now the CTI route will be TBD.

Nothing attracts quality applicants like making 30k a year to move to OKC for a 50% washout rate to move across the country again making 40k pick up a training delay due to woefully understaffed training departments. Praying politicians don’t use you as political pawn and shutdown the government while your working 2 jobs to pay for your commitments to this job and have people say you’re overpaid.
Don't tell CoffeeIV this.. he is too busy stuck in his tunnel vision and has no clue how pitiful pay is for others. Also, if were so replaceable like he thinks then why TF have we not been replaced yet SINCE THE 80'S? Coffee is one of the most clueless posters on here. Take your blinders off and look at reality.

Just tell them to go fuck themselves, and tell them Santa is a dick.
Accurate the focus needs to turn on NATCA actually doing what they should be doing. Collaboration has gone rotten and become ineffective in improving the lives of controllers on the boards. They have shown their cards in being able to negotiate OJTI pay they need to go further.
10 hours turns
Rules on how much OT can be assigned per year. Increased OT Pay.
Increase CIC pay to 15% the new FLM standard raise.
Any other ideas for the interim before contract negotiations?

They need raises that get to all controllers. CIC time is minuscule in some facilities.

I completely agree all controllers need a raise and soon.
I think CIC pay and 10 hours turns are the quickest and easiest to attain with minimal pushback, they want oversight…..
Collaborate the shit out of that and I hope raises are coming soon.

Does their bargaining unit even want 10 hour turns and an increased restriction on how much they’re allowed to earn?

If they don’t want 10 hour turns they are being complicit in the fatigue issues.
If there was a cap at 200 hours that would be max 2 overtime shift per months or 6 months worth of 6 day work weeks.
That’s enough abuse of the workforce.
What ideas are they coming up with currently to improve QOL?
