Well when you use a ps4 controller its rough. But DLF seems to be picking training back up, so we are much busier than we were, and the oil jets have actually started flying much more recently, concho resources could be a good stock pick up based off traffic lol. I heard single bedrooms are still going for 1k, which is 600 less than when I got here, but they're building homes and apartments like crazy out here. Definitely not a country club, maybe if we got CIP, or DFW locality instead of RUS. Not gonna lie when I lost about 10k my first year and a half from how expensive it is. Also absolutely no one wants to stay, and we have the worst staffing outside Kalamazoo
Yeah, PS4 controller definitely adds to the difficulty. I just have a cheap $40 logitech joystick I picked up in my FSX days. I wish they'd add some missions to the new one because it's boring af honestly. These landing challenges get old and flying around virtual NYC just doesn't really do it for me.
I think COLA will continue to trend downward out there. That staffing is rough but you gotta think it'll improve quickly once training picks back up. You might be able to pick up a real nice house for cheap pretty soon. Maybe some day we'll make it to the big leagues.

I got a house after six months because it cost the same as my shitty apartment from the 80's at the time and am closing up my refinance on the first of this month, and yeah we just need people who are able to train. I'm top ten in seniority already lol

I promise none of you will ever be worth than 10 mil so why defend the people who are lmao

Really hoping 4-8m, but my current exotic lifestyle is preventing me from saving enough. Also, I lost out on 20K in OT this year so far (worth it)
I might be inclined to defend multi or even deca-millionaires, but when it starts pressing into the 100s, I get skeptical. The billions- seriously, how drunk do you have to be to shed tears for Bezos or Zuckerberg?

I get that we have a capitalistic society. I think capitalism is better than socialism. I also think capitalism needs to have checks on it. Like, for instance, maybe we stop allowing government-bailed-out corporations to pay their executives as though their business was successful. Or maybe somebody with 100 million dollars doesn't get 1.7 million in stimulus money. Or like, maybe you don't get a FICA cap. Or.... need I go on?

It really is impressive how many of us have been convinced to work in the interests of the ultra-rich. We are literally watching people get fired from other privatized ATC systems, and STILLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!.... there are people on here who are like "yeah, that's what we need!"

Hey leave my FICA cap alone lol, how else am I supposed to Max my Roth IRA every year?

IMO if the social security payout is capped, so should be the pay-in.

As I've said before, I don't give two craps what it says on the death certificate. COVID, pneumonia, blood clot, car crash, fell off a cliff, whatever. Count the number of death certificates and compare that number to data from past years. We're at 250,000+ compared to where we should be.
It’s amazing how So many people don’t understand this concept.

That's because it's being grossly oversimplified. Simply adding a difference of deaths does not take into account several varying factors such as an aging population, higher risk of certain deaths occurring, population growth/decline etc.

According to the CDC you are FAKE NEWS. average 12 month death count between december of last year - 2,855,000 and march of this year - 2,884,000.

This is a troll right? Why are you quoting data from March of this year when we had a few thousand confirmed deaths from covid? The pandemic took off in the northeast in April.

He got his education from Trump University that’s why.

So you think the aging babyboomers just hit the point where they start dying in force, and it's complicating the numbers because they started their die off at the same time as the pandemic hit?

I guess that's at least a theory we'll be able to confirm or deny conclusively in a couple years, at least...

The main point is 200,000 have died from Corona that wouldn’t other wise have died from Corona

I agree completely and think it's blindingly obvious.

But I think in an earlier post, he said he thinks that the other 94% (boy, does that whole lack of comprehension piss me right off) were all due for death as part of this sudden die off anyway, and were just assigned as covid deaths to support a fake news narrative.

I think it's ludicrous, but in a couple years when deaths return to normal levels, no one will be able to make that claim with a straight face.

Anyone that makes that claim now is just gaslighting you

Yeah the people that ran with that 94% statistic to dismiss the virus really showed that they know jack shit about what they are talking about.

If you get shot in the chest and have a heart attack and die, clearly you died from the heart attack, right!?!? /s

While I'm more skeptical of lockdowns than many, that 6% nonsense made me laugh. They had already said this like a month or two before about NY, so it wasn't really a revelation to begin with.
It amazes me how poor our countries reading comprehension is that they can take what the CDC said and twist it so radically. Seriously, if the CDC *meant* that only 6% of the deaths were caused by COVID, then they would also have adjusted the numbers from 200K to 12K.
And that was the fucking claim, that the CDC had "adjusted" their numbers. But they didn't. The numbers stayed the same the whole time. So fuck you.

Gah.

Tangent rant.... you know those people who claim they speak for God, and they use that to get their supporters to fund a Gulfstream 6. I wish I could bring myself down to that level, and then use that to set some of those COVID denying idiots straight. Also, I'm not so greedy, I'd only ask for a Gulfstream 4.
