NATCA got K90 the deal of a lifetimeThats another interesting anecdote, if true. and another story of a different (arbitrary?) standard being used when it comes to doling out the top secret (dont-ask-dont-tell) 30 million. An exact counter to that would be when the BOS Tracon guys moved up to A90 consolidated Tracon and were grandfathered in and kept their Boston, MA area CIP since it was a forced move "it wasnt fair to take a pay cut". Not all regions are created equal? I'm assuming the same thing happened w the K90 consolidation? what happened to the Cape 7.3%, or maybe they were just happy to get leveled up?! Will it get diverted to the AZO super Great Lakes TRACON? If K90's went away, who will fill that void, will someone else unwrap the right Wonka Bar and get a golden ticket into that member$ only club!? #CIPMysteryContinues
A80 controller reminiscing on the glory days of CIP...

This sounds nice and fair and in good faith. Makes total sense. There was actually an executive order on it.

Slight correction, SMF is a 5.The funny one is SMF with a higher percentage than NCT. Same city, but NCT controllers get more because 12 v 6. Still a weird dynamic.

very interesting indeed. 3.5% (SMF) vs 3.2% (NCT). A controller whose base is 150k @ NCT makes $4800 in CIP, if youre at 75k @ SMF you make $2625 in CIP. You'd think something billed as a "cost of living differential", would be to actually offset a higher cost of living, which in no way depends on how many ops you work . Give SMF 6.4% CIP! Groceries dont cost less for the lower level controllers. Unless CIP is not to offset cost of living.
Which facility is harder to "attract and retain controllers"? Unless CIP is not to "attract and retain controllers".

That’s what they did for us last year at ZMP when the super bowl was thereOur local literally begged management to give TOAs for the Super Bowl, at the end of the government shutdown. Management gave the SMEs TOA and $500 each. Management’s current solution for controllers: 2 hours of TOA for each shift worked between Thursday and Monday (max of 8 hours even though some like myself worked 5 shifts) and no credit for anyone working a mid shift(s). If you took ANY leave during a shift, you don’t get ANY TOA for that entire day. So now we wait and see how this plays out...
So you guys got 2 hours per day worked or something different? That’s what they did for us last year at ZMP when the super bowl was there
M98 got that, and the folks who did the extra routes got cash as well.So you guys got 2 hours per day worked or something different?
2hrs per day worked for a maximum of 8hrs. Plus they gave some extra TOA to people and cash awards to people as well.So you guys got 2 hours per day worked or something different?
If they were trying to retain/attract controllers with CIP they would have raised SMFs when they got downgraded. Pretty sure theyre on the way back to a 6 though.
The answer to this issue is simple, and I’m surprised PushingTin hasnt suggrsted it already, but just give all the CIP to N90.
As if they need a reason for their egos to get any bigger.....The answer to this issue is simple, and I’m surprised PushingTin hasnt suggrsted it already, but just give all the CIP to N90.

Don’t know where you work, but would anyone who wants to work or is working in California seriously decide not to go there if there wasn’t CIP?
10 percent or less ain't worth getting shot. Hell I'd work in the shitty part of town if I could just keep my glock in the truck. Tons of controllers have CCW's and some facilities will even let you park outside the gate, then some facilities will flip out even if you park outside the gate.Another factor I didnt see anyone here mention is if an airport is in a dangerous/bad part of town. Dude I work with thought that's why ADS gets it. Don't know anything about ROC but maybe that explains why they get it and not the others in nearby cities?
