Enroute Class pass rate

Not sure how precise this is, but I heard those who did their evals this week were 4/6 pass. 2 to ZOA, one to ZID, and unclear on the fourth person.

As someone who would actually want to go to ZNY. What does being optional mean?

Are you cool with not training for 3 years when you get to ZNY and never leaving?

They check out people who want out but can’t unless they hardship, and those that want to be there usually wash and are sent (NEST’d) to West Virginia... or jersey.

Interesting. I imagine to keep the OT pay?

Currently from the 2020 bid, waiting for clearances. Is there any chance by the time I go to the academy, ZMA will be on the list if I’m selected to the En Route path?

Sure, there is a chance. Honestly, there is no way to predict what will be on the list other than the hard to staff facilities. You will bang your head against a wall trying to narrow down what will come up when it's your turn but you won't know until they give you the list.

I wanted enroute and got terminal. I was fine with going anywhere in the US but the south and I ended up in the south lol

Go somewhere else get checked out and ERR if your first priority is being a controller.

Yeah I called my rep and she said no. She also sounded like she didn’t even want to talk to me lol. “I was wondering if I could switch to enroute” “No, anything else I can help you with?”

I heard this from their lead, he stopped by my class one day. Looks like the rumors of ZNY and ZOA not being mandatory anymore might be true.

ZNY and ZOA shouldn’t be sent another academy grad until 2023

It was a class of 3 due to COVID. The other 4 were pulled and quarantined. I believe they actually started Day 1 today.
