Hey everyone, I've put together a Google Form that will take your SWAP request and automatically detect matches with other respondents. Your request will remain on file for 1 year before being automatically deleted. If a match is detected you will be notified by email and provided the contact information of your matches. If you end up going through with a SWAP or you no longer want to SWAP, please PM me so I can remove your entry from the database.

Click here to submit your SWAP request.

NATCA just used that tool to find your IP address and identity.

Now you’ve done it……….Nobody tries to circumvent NCEPT…….. even the guys who quit and sacrificed a year of their career to try to get a reinstate bid……… NEST will happen for them now, their fate will be determined by a bunch of desk jockeys who never controlled and think a level 6 stand alone tower is slower then a level 7 up/down tower.

Man get a grip. SWAPs have always been available. Yes, NCEPT has made them significantly less common but they are still available. Let OP create a tool to perhaps increase their frequency. A tool to help your fellow controllers out. Why bring negativity into this at all?

You still can’t swap unless both facilities meet some magical requirement. Some centers can’t pick up or release. Great system.

Not only that, but the NATCA forum had (has? I haven't been there in forever) a board to put up swap requests.

The NATCA SWAP list is outdated and unused, nor is it smart/automatic. My system pushes the responses into a database and uses an algorithm to detect all matches. Then a script sends out automatic emails to notify each respondent of their matches with the accompanying contact info.

Swaps are considered after the panel and both facilities must *still* be in the green. Per my region's NCEPT rep they know that swaps are basically impossible and they want to keep it that way for fear of people "abusing the system".

Only in the government would a 1 for 1 exchange between locations be considered "abusing the system"

Meanwhile NATCA is trying to prevent as many CPC to FLM transfers as possible. Close that loophole that people are trying to take to get around their shit policy
A rumour I’ve heard is giving up to 15% to become a FLM. If true, NATCA has to be working overtime to figure this one out. I’m curious what they’ll come up with to close that loophole

Add [email protected] to your email list. Emails might end up in the junk folder. Also, please share the form link with other forums/resources. The more people who have access to the tool will increase the likelihood of a match.

Does anyone know who I need to get ahold of to get natca.org updated with this form? I can also provide embed code if we want it to live onsite. suggested... swap.pointsixtyfive.com
