Passing term limits is right there with it...We really need some rules about being off the boards for your whole career. But passing an amendment like that is even harder than electing an outsider. We couldn’t even get an amendment to vote on extensions.

Most of you all were getting 5 covid jabs to be “safe” and bullying other people to go along with it . Just think about how nick can travel wherever all year and JD is at work vectoring.To me it is not stealing, it is the simple logic that term limits would solve several problems:
-Not only on the President and EVP, but it would prevent any single individual from gaining too much power over time, promoting a better process and higher engagement from the members where power is regularly redistributed.
-The opportunities for long-term corruption (there is a great video from Biden in the 70's when he first started that drives this point home) and unethical behavior would be minimized, as officials know their time in office is finite and again we would not be stuck in the same Rinaldi rerun.
-A rotation every 8 years (4 year terms to be precise) would bring fresh ideas and perspectives, which will logically innovative policies and solutions for some key issues such as the opening of the contract / extending. The leaders today have no real idea what a toll the job takes on the average controller.
-Leadership, with clear understanding, now knowing their tenure is limited, would be more willing to making a positive impact and so as to leave a better legacy than the one before them, thus the motivation to better succeed .
-This would also make our national officers accountable to their constituents, because they would have to go back to the boards with the average controller and face / live with the consequences of their actions.
-Incumbents (as we see with Rinaldi and his protege Nick) often have significant advantages over challengers, such as name recognition, campaign finance access, and established political connections. This would better level the field making elections more competitive and encourage more people to throw their hat in the ring.
-And last but not least, the elimination of campaign donations. Circling back to the corruption, an elimination of all campaign donations would better serve the membership because if candidates wish to run, it would have to be on their own dime thus not allowing "outside" interference.
Sorry long list here, but I feel very strongly about this.

This one’s completely absurd. Donations are voluntary. You’re just advocating for virtual campaigning. Just garbage propaganda videos and curated questions. Accountability is achieved face to face. Your comment was directed at trainees apparently not getting screwed over during the excessively long training delay for “the safety of the NAS.” It had nothing to do with how CPCs were trying to get out of work or Covid jabs.I’m not sure they got screwed over. It was very telling how quickly the academy reopened but the facilities delays continued for another year. One group is BUE and one isn’t. On a side note that’s actually rather ironic. NATCAs support for training delays have now actually contributed to a legitimate safety issue within the NAS. Not that they’d ever own up to that fact.
