Enroute Class pass rate

Do prior experience military get en-route anymore? I haven’t heard of many get en-route TOLs in a long time unless they went OTS.

Not sure how often it happens but I know two people that got them in recent bids

Besides the obvious extra pay, what other benefits would there be?

Mostly pay. If you start at the 12 you will be much farther ahead down the road.

Also, people generally give you the benefit of the doubt if you have worked at a 12 until you prove otherwise if you transfer down the road. Not that you couldn’t be the worst controller in the easiest area of said 12.....

Gotcha. That makes sense, I ask because I’m from Salt Lake and if I were given the chance idk if i would take it. Also the lower level is less stress, which is definitely worth something in my book

So you guys suggest starting at 12 then transferring later if you want?

I would.

However, while some places look bad on the staffing chart, you never know what could happen over time in terms of how transfers are approved or how staffing shifts.

I’m at the cap at an 11 because I went 12-10-11 in less then 16 years with decent pay raises and a good contract protecting my pay during transfers. Thanks Natca.
