Enroute Class pass rate

You should have done better not to bomb a non radar eval. Every point matters. And also, you have seen everything in your practice problems that was on your eval. No reason to bomb anything.

For some people it just doesn't click that well. It didn't for me. I managed two 70s and placed fine in my class. As long as you don't give away points in the academics you can make it up in radar.

Non Radar is obsolete as hell. Other than the super remote mountain regions in obscure centers, you will literally never use true non radar in RL. If your center goes ATC Zero, we will have Much bigger problems than worrying about degree divergence and cutoffs. Look what happened when Chicago Center went down.... The entire country was basically an unmitigated disaster shitshow during that. The agency resisted NATCA in sending center CPCs to the approaches to help out... Until they capitulated.

What do u mean no reason to bomb anything? Its only years of your life and an entire career on the line during these evals. I was confident and stone cold and arrogant all the way through, and then sweated like a pig on my PV.

You need to check yourself Billy Bob! And respect the process.

You still gotta use non radar to get people off the ground.

True. Which comes down to simple altitude separation or even better the "its a big sky" theory. Lol how many times have someone said they will "block" for a certain approach or departure and you see targets way within the non radar cutoffs. This is a gray area!

Wow what happened?

Who was their instructor?

I mean when you have a 27% pass rate is it really the students?

The class that had to redo basics as well so they have been in okc since march.
Well IDK. I feel like everyone needs to rethink the process. Not pointing fingers but success is a reflection on how the leader does.

If I it as a quarterback, quarterback does bad. Makes it hard to win the game.

In this occasion I’m trying to figure out, if the students didn’t give it their all, or if the instructor wasn’t doing a good job at instructing. In the end us as students fall under the hands of what’s presented in front of us. Doesn’t matter how hard you study, if the person in the the front of the class isn’t good, are you really learning properly?

Dude, these were atypical results, I highly doubt it was some instructor’s first class and that he by chance also sucks. The 11/11 class was an anomaly and so is this, it can be a combination of 500 factors or just bad luck. These same instructors probably had 10/12 success rates in the past too.

I wouldn’t call it atypical. When I was there there was a string of classes than passed 3-5/18

Not saying that the academy is easy nor that it should be. But what was the difference of last weeks class vs this one?

Or any class in the past where one class had a high success rate and the other didn’t. That needs to be looked at. Likewise is it the instructors or the students? I guess I just find it hard to believe that more then half of the people are not capable to get passed OKC.

HR puts a random group of people together. You get classes were more people are smart and you get classes with a bunch of wash outs.

I think a lot of it comes down to the personalities of the class. Our class is super close and does everything together. We see other classes that barley talk though and I would imagine that’s not good for studying together.
