3rd Quarter 2017

I don't see why it would take a whole week... It's a one day task. Shouldn't it be as simple as just changing the settings and running the list again? I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow to see the list... And my mufuggin name on it

You'd think

I would hope the NCEPT committee would understand how much this means to people and many many people are on pins and needles. That said I would hope (even if it takes a late night) that they get it done sooner (tomorrow) than later (next week)

Exactly. Give me the manager's ranking list and I'll do it by hand in an hour or two tops.

As long as I made the list, i'd be cool with that, ha! Seriously though it would be nice if they took the time to post results tomorrow or Friday at the latest even if it took them a few more hours than expected. We shall have to wait it out and see I suppose as there is not really another option

Holy shit dude, calm it down! You're expectations need to be lowered down to reality's level. They'll get to it when they see fit. Maybe next week.

Meh, even though it blows waiting, those on the NCEPT team caught a mistake that could mean people leaving their facility or not. I'm glad they did. I may be on pins and needles to get out, but so are the others that would've been screwed had they not caught the mistake.

If anything, props to the NCEPT team.

Only three months to prepare for this round, its kind of hard to give them credit for "catching" the mistake. But I have to admit I am glad it is going to be corrected and hopefully translate in more people being released!

To be fair, this process is continuously evolving. There's a lot of moving parts id imagine. I just don't want to assume the job is easy when I don't know what it entails. Benefit of the doubt is all. Sure as hell beats the alternative, which is that they ignored the issue and told us better luck next time.

My 2 cents.
The whole system is fucked. They tried to take away the "good ol boy system" but only did so by about 20 %.
ERR deadlines before a PPT is fucking nonsense.
The fact that people can turn down an ERR without them continuing down that facility (the cock block rule is what I call it.) with no repercussions is full blown insanity.
Also, how can a place like MCO get staffed to 130%. Sorry, but thats spending tax payer money on paying people where they are not needed.

You have a great shot at ZOB. They can pick 8 of 17 and I saw their list, is was not impressive. Plus by the time they draft some of those names will be crossed off. So you're still eligible by the tie ZOB picks you got a good shot even if you're ranked low.

But hey, we all have great jobs with good benefits, which is rare in this day and age. Although my rant will point out the stupidity in the system, I am very happy and thankful to do a job I love that pays awesome.

Thanks for the insight. I have to assume I'm in the top 8 based on what I've heard. But who knows if it'll even matter. I think another guy at my facility put in for ZHU and one more put it for DTW which are both above ZOB. We can release 3....

I'd imagine it's not to difficult to catch when the program spits out ~40 selections as opposed to ~150.

If the manager's ranking list was given to me in an excel format. I'm confident I could finish it in under an hour.

To semi-stand up for MCO, they haven't gotten a soul since this process started. Their 22 staffing number is hilarious, but their old rep saw the writing on the wall and when it came time to decide a number for the NCEPT, instead of potentially freezing people, he elected to go as low as possible. It just happens that it's a great tower in a great location and nobody wants to leave. If they ever got down to 22, they'd be on 6 day workweeks.

ZHU is 87th, don't have to worry about that.
