3rd Quarter 2017

Found out today that my ATM and ZTL agreed on 8th of July for me. We have some pending certifications in next 6 months so may be able to renegotiate later if we become cat 1. See y'all there
I'm hoping to be there early/mid Aug. Hope you get out earlier.

July 8th 2018? Talked to my ATM Monday he said late August September for me, not sure he he has talked to ATM at ZTL yet.

On a side note, where are y'all going to live? I have a 4 month old so schools will be big part of decision.

Yes 2018, maybe earlier if a couple trainees certify. We are looking at McDonough, Senoia, Locus Grove, Griffin and Brooks. Our goals are property for our horses and easy commute

I got you man, I'm in the same boat with a 1 and 2 year old. Majority of controllers live in Fayetteville, McDonough, or Peachtree City. Fayette county has some of the best schools in the state. In Fayetteville, search for Whitewater High School for the best school district in Fayetteville. In McDonough, search Ola High School or Union Grove High School. Also, anywhere in Peachtree City has great schools as well.

We have a 22 month old and 10 week old.

I'm on the list and haven't received my TOL yet, or gotten a phone call from anyone. Who is the point of contact for that stuff, receiving region HR or current region HR?

I wouldn't panic, It could take up to 2 weeks from when the list came out.

Recieving initiated mine, but like Terry said it could take a couple weeks. Have 152 people to process

It's important to remember what the problem is. It's not people from a lvl 5 or 6 or anything else. They are subject to the same lousy rules everyone else is. There are people who were working at Starbucks a week ago who are getting sent to level 12s. The problem is the process not the people being subjected to it.

Do new hires for terminal get sent to 12s? I know enroute does obviously since the majority of enroute jobs are at 12s...

Now that I've been picked up I'm not mad anymore but it has been a tough 3.5 years for me... Before I was hired I had a TOL for ZOB and it was cancelled and I got a new one for ZID. I was living in Cleveland at the time. Hard to hear about people off the street getting picked up for ZOB while I'm a level 12 enroute CPC who couldn't get back to where I was supposed to go in the first place.

On a side note, does anyone know how training is done for enroute-to-enroute transfers? Will I have to do a-side, d-side, and r-side classes again? Or is it just a matter of drawing maps and then hit the floor?

It will depend on each facility, but I imagine you would train them all again, bit with reduced time. While on a government computer look up

loa.faa.gov

You can access their training orders and see what prior experience enroute trainees get.

Anyone familiar with the process to renegotiate a release date? I just signed my FOL for a cat 1, 1 year release. But we just had someone certify pushing us to a Cat 1, 3 month release.

I would assume there are no negotiations. If you are over the 90% AOB. You WILL be given the option for the 3 month date.

J. In the event a facility moves from a Category 2 release window to a Category 1 release window, employees with Category 2 release dates will be afforded the opportunity to have their existing release dates adjusted to comply with the Category 1 release window, prior to the issuance of subsequent release dates.

Like Terry said above, it's simply notifying your FacRep and ATM that you qualify for a 3 month release and getting the ball rolling. The only negotiation that could transpire is if you wanted less then 3 months. The 3-6 month window is your choice with a Cat 1 release, not your ATMs.
