Biden Endorsement

I’ve seen a couple supes get rated unsat, I don’t think they got their raises those years
Did you see that for real? There was a stat a few years ago where something like only 12 OS and OM’s in the entire ATO were rated unsatisfactory and therefore didn’t get a raise.

A lot of GS employees don’t get their step increases because their managers give them shitty performance reviews….so there’s that too. You get your 1.6 even if you’re a shit.
Can confirm that I am a shit and would not be getting step increases.

Yup. It wasn’t all at once, different people, different years. Pm me for details if you like, one is especially spicy lol

Why? The members should be informed that one party is literally trying to cut their pay
Pick your poison buddy,

I can’t stand the other side of the aisle but at least they can run an economy that’s doable for the people. All we’ve gotten the last 3 years is record inflation… oh but don’t forget about that generous 5% that meant nothing. In hindsight to what I’ve just said, if you think either party gives a flying fuck about your pay, your family or your job, you have waking up to do. We’re sitting here arguing as pawns in all this anyway… I could care less what party someone belongs to at this point. I just want someone who actually cares about the working class which as you’ll hopefully find out someday, includes nobody in Washington.

Under what metric. They can’t run an economy. The trump tax cuts were a disaster for the economy. Both sides aren’t the same. Republicans literally hate you. The division take is only said by people coping with their bad position. We aren’t divided.

Under what metric? How about the fact that the last 3 years economically have been a literal disaster with 40 year record inflation. Homes, cars, fuel, building materials you name it, it’s expensive af right now. Remember when biden also stated he has no bearing on US fuel prices and then several months later was proud as a peacock and took credit for lowering gas prices by ~25c? He even stated that was “breathing room” and “we aren’t done yet.” Frankly I can’t believe we even have to discuss a “metric” about running an economy with retrospect to this current presidential term. And yeah, republicans do hate you, same as democrats do. They’re politicians with agendas… care to state something more obvious?

Also this is a thread for discussion on why NATCA is endorsing biden for re-election. What makes you think trump has any relevancy here. I can’t stand the guy either but I’d vote for any democrat that can actually run an economy, which I’d like to point out is Biden’s number one point of disapproval in the polls. Being followed by the illegal immigration problems we’re having.

I’m sure you knew that the U.S. is producing record oil under Biden right? Corporations are ripping you off

It’s all so confusing. Granted things are somewhat early on, but NATCA has basically endorsed someone who is behind in the polls, is not yet endorsed for candidacy by the DNC and nixxed over 11,000 Union jobs his first week in office. I know it’s always been a union tradition voting blue but I’m rather shocked that any labor union would endorse a democrat at this point.
Only ONCE in history had a party not endorsed the incumbent as their nomination.

However I am surprised we haven't endorsed an actual socialist

It will be interesting to see if this topic comes up in the NATCA election. I thought it was highly unusual NATCA endorsed Biden 18 months before his election, last time they didn’t formally endorse him at all. I think they endorsed Hillary late in the election, I only remember “early” endorsements being of Obama in the white and immediate post white book fights.

I wonder if the two new leaders of the legislative committee jumped the gun without full approval of the NEB? They are new in position, a guy from Phoenix and a women from the mid-west who is not likable and only talks PAC 24/7. They are not the nationally know NATCA Prince Rich Kennington and that California women with multiple last names who were the face of legislation before.

Maybe it all mean nothing but it’s something to consider in the grand scheme of everything.

If a republican gets elected they are extending the contract.

NLC doesn't make the decision to endorse. That is up to the NEB/President.

The Biden endorsement reeks of political bias/obsession, not well thought out strategy.

And if that doesn’t give you a sense of funny business going on with this administration idk what will. As gas prices increase, supply rises while demand declines. Conversely, as the price drops, supply constricts while demand grows, basic economics. The media will tell you the president can’t directly control oil/fuel prices, and are essentially correct, but won’t talk about how lobbyists for huge corporations approach Washington all the time greasing palms to do business how they want. Just ask the FDA.

When they enforced Biden it was the same day the rest of the AFL CIO did
I, quite frankly, DGAF about what the AFL-CIO does. Our interests won't always align. And there was nothing stopping us from with holding an endorsement until a candidate actually earned it.

And before you launch into your all Repblicans hate us speech... the odds of us endorsing Biden later were near 100%. Which is fine, but make the candidate earn it. Don't just give it to one side because the other side may have poor policies, or usually doesn't like us. If we automatically endorse a Democrat everything automatically, why should they try to earn our vote?

I’m not arguing with you about whatever your woke about. I’m just pointing out that it was coordinated across the whole afl cio
