Boeing Contract Proposal

Where's JD, if we don't like the new contract we have a 30 day period between 90 and 60 days prior to the expiration of the current CBA to decertify NATCA and replace it if necessary. The NLRB would hold a vote, 50% or more needed to replace the union.

Let's make a new union with blackjack and hookers if they don't start working for us with our dues.

You could just not ratify the contract..

Sounds good, lay off the level four tower controllers and contact them. Better yet, contract the towers but give those controllers a golden ticket to go wherever and help “staffing”.
Funny, I remember proposing this to exact idea a few months ago in an NCEPT thread and everyone had a myriad of reservations toward it. No controllers are terminated, slower non-desirable facilities are eliminated from FAA placement and there’s more movement. I can’t see a downside to this.

Didn't the company change their retirement and refused to restore it? I think that was the sticking point with the BU.
Correct. Pensions were frozen in 2014 in the last negotiations. That, and 35% over 4 years only gets their salaries back to where they should be today— it does nothing for their progression beyond that. They are also trying to address the fact that $20 an hour to start is entirely unsustainable in Seattle. That’s actually under some of the local municipal minimum wages there.
