DOT holiday time off

Considering this happens for almost every Federal holiday now, this is a shit fucking ton of leave, credit, or holiday pay we’re all being fucked out of. 3 hours early release for every Federal holiday would be 33 hours this year. And NATCA wont even say shit about this.
 
Natca won’t say anything cuz at some faculties they actually make it happen…..maybe not 3 hours but at least something

Subject: Early Release Notification for Friday, February 17

In recognition of the Washington's Birthday holiday on Monday, February 20, 2023, DO
Secretary Pete Buttigieg approved an early release of three (3) hours for DOT Feder employees who are in work status, including telework, on Friday, February 17, 2023.

"In work status" means employees must be on duty immediately three (3) hours before their scheduled shift ends on February 17, 2023. This early release covers all FAA employees, except employees designated as emergency or mission-critical (see Humat Resource Policy ManuaL EMS-11.5 Identifying Essential Supporting Activities and Designating Emergency and Mission-Critical Employees for Emergency Situations) and those whose positions require periodic onsite presence. Managers may require designated emergency or mission-critical employees or employees whose presence is necessary to remain on duty. If you are unsure about your status, please check with your manager.

You should record the three (3) hours of excused absence (or administrative leave) for the early release in the time and attendance (T&A) system as follows:

  • Time Not Worked Code - 060 - Administrative Leave - Other.
  • Labor Distribution Reporting (LDR) Codes for Administrative leave, Project Code - 12XFALEAVE, Task Code - LEA001 - Use of Other Time Not Worked.
Managers, if you have questions, please confact your assigned AHR Labor and Employee Relations (LER), Headquarters, or Regional office.

Note: This applies to non-bargaining unit employees/positions and bargaining unit employees/positions, except where the applicable collective bargaining agreement contains conflicting provisions.
 
Lol at min staffed places like my facility and any other min staffed place.. Three hours holiday leave? Yeah butty, sureeeeee. It’s all a joke.
