Ok guys so I just found out that I’m probably gonna be a dad, and I’m nervous as hell bc I’m not together with the to be mother. Im allegedly getting a start date around December and everything seems to be moving so fast. She’s 2 months, and with my timeline it’s looking like I’ll hopefully start at a facility right before the birth (assuming all goes well and I pass). That being said, I have some questions.
1) let’s say my date gets pushed back for covid, and I end up in the academy as baby mama goes into labor, is there anything that I can do to fly out there to be there with her?
2) I know there is parental leave that I can get an advance on, but I assume I would have to be in a facility to use that leave. That being said, what are the odds that I can file hardship under #3 on the priority list and move closer to my baby ASAP?
