Sure, but where does it stop? So because you certified in 2002 when the facility was a 7, even though now its a 5, you can hardship to a level 10? That has been denied in the past multiple times. More than anything, just trying to be helpful. Removing the validity of the actual hardship , if mine was getting denied for that reason, I'd definitely want to know it's been done.

Your SF50 would show GH regardless of it being from 2002. So they would look at it and make sure the hardship was to grade JH or below. Doesn’t matter when you got that or what happened with downgrades after. Unless you’re advocating for them to cut pay after downgrading.

The only thing I got back is she hasn't been depressed long enough? What the hell kind of documentation do they want? Anyone know how long you have to be depressed for it to be "long enough"?

Per FAA standards it will be when you are eligible for retirement.

I’d get a lawyer. Where are they trained to make medical decisions? They move the goalposts

My atm only got news it was denied from regional Chicago committee. He called his uppers and they gave him the normal bs not enough documentation. My natca rep said they told him diagnosis isnt long enough.

We had a hardship into our BFE nothing tower so a controller could take care of an aging parent.

do you know if they had both parents still around? in a similar position. i dont expect to get it approved but figured id ask.

Just wondering was you told yours was getting denied for lack of documentation, then you sent email, then you resubmitted packet and they said approved 2 days later? Wondering because I’m dealing with similar situation stated above? Thanks for any input!

Idk at this point. I submitted everything my atm said no FacRep said yes was told it went to service area but now 5 weeks later region natca guy says I need more documentation. Says if I don’t supply that then consider it denied.
