May (Q2) 2021

What is the reasoning behind 1 year firm release date. The temporary rules state category 2 release but also say the release date “will be” 1 year.

My facility can release me whenever really.

Any insights?
The agreed upon temp rules were 1 year. This was one of the concessions made to ensure a panel could be held. Then the Agency sent out Cat2 release offers because being stupid is one of their job requirements.

Odds that they have a panel 6 months after this one and have 3 month releases in it?

We will then just get into a cycle of every necept can't release before the prior one so all release dates will just become 1 year... so then it's pretty much back to older style get selected and wait for no reason longer than needed.
They can just dynamically decide that all releases happen starting June 2022 at the earliest and can be later if actually needed/wanted.

Whatever bro. NCEPT is the truth. Just ask certain people on here, they’ll defend it to death

If my facility can release earlier and the receiving facility is willing to take me, then it shouldn’t be an issue.
If there’s a fall panel and category 1 releases happen I might grieve that out of spite.

Releases go in order so there’s no instrument for an ERR selected later to be released earlier unless you pass on the option. Also at some point in the fall they’re supposed to allow release date reassessment through the normal means

Good gouge appreciate it.

I was told they will reassess “after summer.” Also, anyone with a release will have option for an earlier date should another panel occur and they go back to normal cat 1 and 2 releases.

Next they are gonna complain about the flood of CPC ITs next June
That's part of the problem resulting from this ncept and delaying a year between panels. Real question is, why are we letting academy grads and prior experience hires to go into facilities and train, but natca paying members can't get transferred. Why is natca allowing for this terrible program.

I think anyone with an FOL that got amended should write to our president elect Rich Santa and Mick Devine. They were the NATCA NCEPT guys.

Actually we all probably should write and tell them what we think about this process.

So we should just stop all new hires until all the ERRs get to transfer? There has always been new hire placement at facilities while ERRs have to wait for a release date. This is nothing new.

I wrote a very well thought email and never heard back. Nothing. Totally ignored.

New academy grads are getting the worst lists of my 11 years in the agency, it's strange to try and push to make their lists even worse
