February (Q2) 2023

Yes. It’s a second bite at the apple, for those facilities that still qualify AFTER the first round. It’s intended (presently) to expedite movement from the low levels to the mid levels, in an effort to improve their staffing.

Ok so my next question. I applied for a level 12 as well as an 8 and 9. Does this mean the level 12 gets first pick over the 8/9?

This guy this he’s getting picked up…

But in all seriousness, it depends on the priority of the facility. If an 8 or 9(AUS) is ranked higher than the 12, you could be selected to the 9(AUS). That’s round one.

Round two is 8s and 9s only.

I emailed the dude on KSN, he said they essentially only care about columns L and AA on the PPT when it comes to NCEPT. Ironic though because last round, some facilities that were top priority didn’t pick up that had a lot of trainees, so like was said, maybe it isn’t officially worded, but they still visit it when it comes to certain places

Can you negotiate release dates? Or are the 3-month/1-year release dates on the temporary mods the only dates you can choose from?

Is it defined anywhere what constitutes a long term hold vs a short term hold. Specifically when it comes to the staffing work book and PPT

Yes, you can negotiate the release dates. It just needs to be WITHIN those time frames. For the respective categories.

It is, however, ultimately up to the 2 ATMs within the parameters

Long Term Hold language is on ksn. Goes outside the facility and needs to be forecasted to be out for more than 1 year. Applies to military, medical and RVPs.

It is a no later than date. So like others said, you can negotiate. Cat 1, technically can go as soon as the next pay period if both ATMs are fine with it.
