Can you get out of hard to staff facilities on a sup bid?

Hey I'd like to be close to my family.
To make ncept worse we'd like to increase numbers via crwg

Ok can you help me with a hardship
That's for scammers

Ok guess I gotta do a sup bid
We are denying all deviations

Ok guess I gotta quit and get rehired
Here's a new mou requiring you be separated by least 52 weeks and limiting where you can be hired
I mean could be worse.... there could only be one employer offering somewhat competitive wages and benefits to do the job so you can't even leverage into a position with a better job offer or with a different employer.

Oh wait.

Wrong. Agreed upon with who lol ? You think NATCA controls sup release dates ? If you get hired to a hard to staff place as an OS your last facility is powerless.
As a controller getting picked up on an OS bid you’re held to the national release MOU agreed upon between NATCA and the agency but okay.

I agree, but I guess I'm not following what that has to do with negotiating a release date?
Nothing. The contract just says that career progression shall be released within 1 year. The release date is then negotiated at district levels, if changing districts, then agreed upon by the ATMs. Or if you are staying in the same district, then the ATMs handle it themselves.... at least that's what I've seen...
