"just screaming pay to scream pay is short-sighted." —Nick Daniels

Of course no one is just screaming pay for the delight of screaming—they're screaming because they are giving up birthdays, baseball games, and recreation with their kids. They are giving up years of their lives spending extra time commuting. They are giving up their health working mids and 60-hr weeks. They are giving up being able to own a house in the areas they serve. They are giving up the American dream. They are giving up stable, nuclear families.

Nick, despising those he represents, decides to ridicule the members and their cries for help, letting everyone know that he doesn't care about them, nor does he care for unity—he's downright giddy for a chance to gaslight and show scorn. His mouth speaks from the overflow of his hardened heart.

Nicks response is insane
At least use the quote
"NICK DANIELS: You can't be shortsighted when you're talking about 15,000 people's lives. And just screaming pay to scream pay is shortsighted."

To continue on this I'd settle for some quality of life changes. Subsidized, healthy ish, vending. Whole weekend differential (not just sunday)

My biggest argument though is that Nick is right-pay would be a shortsighted argument. BUT this is a short career. We have whole agencies in charge of equipment and budgets. Call OSHA, send in water samples, write congress people, leak videos. Who is in charge of advocating for pay and benefits NOW?

They’re on details all the time…center facreps get like 36 hours a week or something
It's Art 2 time for normal rep time. For facilites over 150 people, the facrep gets 56 hrs per PP of official time. That doesn't include any time they are fulfilling any Art 114 duties they have for whatever reason. All facreps I've had have never been on any 114 workgroups but I wouldn't be shocked to hear some are out there.

Sorry normally controllers don’t have all the different articles straight in their head

You should. It's your contract. Spend a break (or a slow mid) reading through it. Knowledge is power and all that.
Every mid i open the contract and fantasize about just getting involved. Then I remembered that no matter how many emails I volunteered for and natca 101 classes I've done I can't seem to
