3rd Quarter 2017

This is, honest to God, a serious question...

Is anyone considering any legal action with this ranking system? I kinda thought the whole point of NCEPT was to take the "good 'ol boy" system out, but this level five to level twelve nonsense is getting really old, really fast.

ERR selections do not require justification unfortunately. The only thing stopping the good ole boy mentality is staffing categories lol. One would hope that these selections are because of what is left when they are able to select. But I have a hard time believing that when DEN has shown they don't care about your experience, time in the agency, or time as a contributing member of NATCA over the last couple years.

They have to pull new data the day of NCEPT. That is the only way the numbers and hiring orders make sense. DFW and IAH were both high up the list and received crappy selections.

lol @ all the tactical bidding into lax. hope you guys get what you're looking for xD
I actually wanted LAX. I had only *2* ERRs in, while everyone else trying to get outta my facility had like a 10-20 & would take whatever they could get. I hope the 6 people selected actually really wanted it.

lmao at all of the butt hurt in here. who cares if a level 5 goes to a 12? maybe they'll make it.. maybe they won't.

in other words.. look at all those i90's!! that's the only place im truly trying to go to. guess they'll have about 5-6 slots left for next time.. hopefully.

Umm..
People who have put in the time and effort and actually give a shit about their job performance and the flying public, that's who. It's rewarding those who have worked the least.

Because unless you're at an 8+ you can't care about and be good at your job? Hate Natca for this bullshit, not the controllers who are at those facilities. I bet if you were in their shoes you'd be taking the one opportunity in your career to move. Because that's what it is. One opportunity, if you even get the chance. But don't get off your high horse because you are definitely "superior" to the lower level cats.

I say this not to be a bearer of bad news but to tell you what you're up against. I90 was one of the crown jewels of this whole NCEPT process. For anyone who just looks on the PPT, the 61.8% success rate might be enough to turn them away. In actuality, they have a 90+% checkout rate and an incredible training program. This was the last panel they'll use the cumulative 12 TRACON averages. If you updated them to their correct % this panel they would've only been able to pick up 8. With them picking up 12 this panel, the window to get into I90 may have just shut.
