3rd Quarter 2017

This would actually be a really big deal, I guess I didn't notice the language before. This would allow facilities to release people if they're close to but below the natl avg as long as you're requesting a 9 or below.

I just want to make sure I'm clear on this: During selections, all Category 1 facilities start to get processed first, correct? Then they go through and begin placing from the Category 2 facilities. IE: If you're a CAT2, you're being placed after all the CAT1's have been placed/exhausted. Here's where the new Category 1 (1 year) comes in.. are they being placed with the other Category 1's (3 months)? Or are they below the Category 2's and being placed last? With 190-something people moving on this board, and if you're a Cat1 (1 year) being placed after all the Cat1(3 months) and Cat 2's have been placed, your facility is then sending someone off to a facility a little ways down the priority list once those "more desirable" facilities have been filled with the earlier release dates. Or am I way off on this?

I think you are way off... ncept priority from top to bottom, if they have 5 slots, and 10 errs, they rank the top 5 and those folks go no matter their current cat. then onto the next priority and so on.

Categories are for when your facility can release. The selecting officials will go down the Placement List and fill slots accordingly. For example I could be at a cat 2 (one year release) but if I bid LAX or some other highly ranked place I have just as much of a shot getting it as a Cat 1 release. It then boils down to openings vs eligible controllers, facility manager ranking, luck, etc... that is the gist of it but if you look throughout the forums you will find more information. This is my understanding at least. MJ did a good FAQ posting about NCEPT as well.

"Staffing level 9 and below facilities up to 100 percent projected — The NCEPT decided to adopt the process where the panel will consider additional movements between “green” facilities at the conclusion of the NCEPT round so as to try to staff level 9 and below facilities up to 100% projected CPC/target"

So this means they go down the list staffing to national average, and then essentially run it again to try and staff to 100% with any remaining eligible people?

I'm at MDW and we are 15 in priority but only showing eligible to select 3 when it would take 6 to get to 100%. Level 8. Maybe there's hope for us to get a few more stragglers at the end.

Can anyone help clarify for me?

My husband’s facility can let one person go this panel. He has paperwork in to two facilities, both have openings to let people leave this panel. I was informed that there is a “release, receive, or neither” rule which made me put my hopes completely aside for now.

My husband is trying to go from a level 6 to another level 6. I don’t really know how to check “green” facilities but if I had to guess my husband’s facility and one of the other ones might be considered green.

Would that “staffing lower levels to 100%” rule override the ability for a facility to accept AND release? Or should I just give it a rest since they’re letting people leave and that’s that.?

I might be grasping at straws but I am desperate for SOMETHING to work in our favor. The numbers switched up big time on our facilities after the ERR deadline (of course).

Thanks everyone!

Color code is in the hidden columns on the PPT. I'm not sure exactly how the new rule to staff 9 and below to 100 projected will actually pan out but it seems like after the whole NCEPT draft there's a chance your husband could go from a 6 to a 6 if you're still green after his coworker gets picked for wherever they're going. The colors don't make sense so you can be green and be below projected natl avg.

Current facility is yellow projected green so I guess we are not getting picked up this panel. How can a facility be at over 90% and projected at almost 90% and not be green? ugh..

Do they really mean "between" green facilities? Yellow is better than green. I can't imagine not being able to release someone because your at 95% staffing. I have to believe they just mean atleast Green right? As in just not Red.

That’s what I was just thinking.. yellow says “MORE THAN 5% above of the National Average” which makes it better than “WITHIN 5%” (which is what green means).. I’m so confused and feel like an idiot but something isn’t making sense to me.

Also, any word on if this will override a facility only being able to release OR receive? I still haven’t seen that in writing but based on the PPT no facility is listed as doing both.. I just haven’t come across the official rule and how this plays in to the “staffing to 100%” scenario.

Im at a green facility (both now and projected) yet higher up on the priority list than the level 9 (red now and red projected) facility I have paperwork into....

Does this mean I wont get considered because they're lower on the list?

Stop and think. If it's yellow the facility is already in a category. If it's green it might not be.

But the extra movement thing is either poorly worded or poorly thought out. My money is on the latter. Total bullshit would be a better description.

Aside: all of this complexity and patching being tacked on every couple months is because the foundation is rotten.

Can anyone please point me to the resource that will fill me in on the “release, receive, or neither” rule? My curiosity is if this still applies in all scenarios, even movement under the “staffing to 100%” rule. Is there anyway around this is ultimately what I want to know. Staffing levels are good at all involved facilities, it is only the “not being able to accept because we are releasing people” rule that is stopping our chance. Sorry for all the questions, you guys are great. 🙂

I thought that was the point of them removing the exempt status and staffing to 100%
