Same here. My co-workers and I all got multiple calls and we're a Cat 1 - one year facility. We were in that same position and I (as well as my coworkers) showed up on the appropriate lists.
Uscolt's scenario contradicts the update I got, but I'll post it anyways. The NCEPT team does have a program that they use. They take the data from the manager's ranking list, run the program and it pumps out the selections. They didn't properly adjust the program for the two updated conditions (going 1 below the national average and staffing 8 to 9's to 100%). I'm guessing they're deciding between fixing the issue with the program or simply doing it by hand (not difficult). If I find out anything else I'll post it.

I agree with this cause the priority list showed us not being able to select any but my manager received a list of 2 but he said we were eligible to select 4, which leads me to the staff 9's below to 100%That confuses me because I know of a level 9 that received a list when they weren’t otherwise entitled to one based on the staffing to 100% rule..

I'll give you the outlined version.Soooo... Maybe i don't fully understand how this system works. Is the manager's ranking list based totally on their discretion? Like seniority or experience doesn't matter at all? If I was a manager and my friend's nephew wants to transfer to my lvl 12 tracon from a lvl 6 tower and he's been checked out 12 months, could I put him first above more qualified candidates?
I guess I don't understand the relationship between the ranking list and the selection process. What does the program actually do if the decisions are made by the managers?
I'll give you the outlined version.
-Manager's can rank however they'd like. They can take their sister's cousin's nephew's former roommate over Archie League himself if they'd like.
- After each manager's ranking list is submitted, there is no emotion in the selection process. It is simply a program that is run.
- Why is a program used instead of by hand? EX. Facility XYZ can release 1 person and 10 employee's have a total of 50 ERRs out. The moment the first person is selected, the remaining 49 ERR's are removed from the system.
Where u trying to go?Ooooohh okay I think I get it. So basically the ranking is is 'who do you want?' and the program is 'can you have him?' taking into account facility staffing and NCEPT priority. Thanks a lot
I was curious about this because I have heard strong reports from multiple sources that I am being picked up, which I guess would mean I am on the top of the ranking list. But whether or not I actually get an offer would depend on the program.
ZOBWhere u trying to go?
Shoot!!!!! Who are you!?!? I'm trying to get there too!
Where you from?
I don't know for sure that I'm at the top of the list. That's just a guess haha. It looks like they could pick up several people though based on the placement tool...
